Hi there! I’m a candid and documentary-style photographer based in Setauket and serving all of Suffolk & Nassau counties —including both forks. My approach is rooted in cinéma vérité, blending warm, muted tones with light and airy edits to create timeless images. I love catching genuine interactions—those unscripted moments when you forget the camera is there—and the emotional glances from your families that make each wedding uniquely meaningful.

My priority is to provide clear communication and relaxed direction to help you stay fully present in your day. I typically work solo which means I’m hands-on throughout the process, but I also have amazing second photographers when we need that extra coverage. I also like to shoot film for those who appreciate analogue and can help you build custom albums and thank you cards for something a little extra. My style is easygoing, my process is thoughtful and my goal is simple: to help you remember today forever. If you have a vision, I’d love to hear it and help bring it to life.

    When I was going through photographers, all the ones with the style I wanted were extremely expensive. All the other photographers in my budget had very outdated photography styles and had corny photos. JT is the only photographer I found that worked with my budget and had outstanding photos! My fiancé and I immediately booked him and we had beautiful engagement photos done. We recently received some wedding highlight photos and I couldn't imagine better wedding pictures! JT was with us from the beginning of preparation (around 12pm) till the end of our night (around 10pm). He was great to work with and my husband can't stop looking at the photos!
