I’m Italia, the heart behind Italia Story Co., a Charleston & Lowcountry wedding and couples photographer. I’m passionate about documenting genuine connection, honest emotion, and the little moments that make your story yours. My approach is documentary-inspired with an editorial eye — I’ll guide you when you need direction, then step back and let the real moments unfold. As a Christian and follower of Jesus, my faith is an important part of who I am and how I care for the people I photograph. My goal is simple: to create photographs that bring you back to not only what happened, but how it felt.

I’m for the people who want beautiful photographs but don’t want their wedding day to feel like a photoshoot. I give you enough direction to feel confident, then create space for the real moments to happen. I pay attention to the in-between — the hand squeeze, the unexpected laugh, the way your people look at you — while still creating portraits that feel intentional and artful. My goal is for you to feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is there and leave with photographs that feel unmistakably like you.

    Wedding Photographer

    Italia was absolutely wonderful to work with! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and never made our wedding day feel like a photoshoot. She gave us direction when we needed it but also knew when to step back and let the real moments happen. She captured so many little moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and looking through our gallery brought us right back to the emotions of our wedding day. Our photos are beautiful, genuine, and feel so much like us. We are so grateful we chose Italia to tell our story!

    Wonderful experience

    Italia was great to work with! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and kept everything relaxed throughout the day. She gave us direction when we needed it but also let things happen naturally. She captured a lot of moments that we didn’t even realize were happening, and when we got our gallery back, it brought us right back to the day. The pictures turned out amazing and really captured what the day felt like. We’re really glad we chose Italia as our photographer.

Yes! Every final image you receive is professionally edited for color, exposure, white balance, contrast, and overall consistency. My editing style is natural and true to the moment, so I don’t alter your features or change the way you naturally look. I want you to recognize yourselves in your photographs and remember the day as it truly felt.
No. I specialize exclusively in wedding photography so I can give my couples my full attention and create the best possible photographs of their day.
My turnaround time varies slightly by season, but you can typically expect your full wedding gallery within 4–6 weeks after your wedding day. I take the time to carefully hand-edit each image so your gallery feels cohesive, natural, and true to the moments you experienced. Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images.
