Elin and Joe at Hemlock and Birch Studios were simply the best! Throughout our entire planning process, they were quick to respond, professional, and incredibly kind. On our wedding day, we experienced some unfortunate travel issues that made us late to the venue, causing us to miss our scheduled time for photos before the ceremony. Knowing how important it was to us to get our first look, family, and bridal party photos done beforehand, Elin and Joe immediately jumped in—efficiently coordinating everyone, keeping us calm, and making it all happen seamlessly. After the ceremony, we were met with rain, creating even more photo challenges. Once again, Elin and Joe remained calm, professional, and didn’t hesitate for a second to get rained on to capture beautiful moments. We absolutely love all of the photos from the best day of our lives. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how wonderful our photographers were, and everyone especially loves the dance floor pictures!

True Professionals and a Joy to Work With
Hemlock & Birch Photography is always a pleasure to work with. From a DJ’s perspective, having a photographer who communicates well and works collaboratively is huge — and this team consistently delivers. Charles and their associate photographers are professional, friendly, and incredibly easy to work alongside throughout the day. They’re organized, calm under pressure, and always respectful of timelines and shared moments, which makes everything run smoothly for couples and vendors alike. Behind the scenes, Elin, their studio manager, is fantastic — super responsive, clear, and helpful with communication leading up to the wedding. If you’re a couple looking for a photography team that not only produces beautiful work but also plays well with other vendors, Hemlock & Birch is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Highly Recommend!
I will not be using Zola AI here! This photography duo is so laid back, cool and really listen to what you want. We had additional 35mm photos taken that turned out amazing. They were also just fun to have around! They also knew the Spencer wedding venue backwards and forwards, so if you’re getting married at Fern Hill Barn it’s a no-brainer!

Thoughtful, organized and beautiful photos!
From the moment we first spoke with Hemlock & Birch Studios, we were impressed by their organized, helpful and efficient communication style. They made the entire process of planning our engagement and wedding photos seamless. When we went over the final photos, we were thrilled - our family and friends were amazed at the quality and said it would be so hard to not include them all in our wedding album. Our engagement session at a local state forest at their recommendation was a highlight, as the photographers knew the location so well and captured beautiful, natural moments. On the wedding day, they were incredibly prepared and thoughtful, allowing us to fully enjoy the cocktail hour after our formal photos were complete. We would absolutely use Hemlock & Birch Studios again and recommend them to anyone, especially if you're also getting married at Fern Hill Barn.
