I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Em, the human behind Digital Darling Photo, a full-time chaser of good light and great energy. I’m a queer wedding and elopement photographer based in San Diego, capturing love stories that feel golden, real, and unapologetically you. I’m all about candid moments and the magic that happens when you forget there’s a camera around. No stiff posing, no pressure, just you being yourselves while I hype you up, fix your flyaways, cry during your vows, and document it all. If you want photos that feel like memories and a photographer who feels like a friend, I’m your girl. 💛

I’m not here to just take pretty photos, I’m here to tell your story exactly how it felt. The messy, the magic and all the little the moments in between. My goal is to make you feel completely yourself so the photos radiate YOU.     Loved working with Emily!

    I found Emily through our venue, as she was a preferred photographer. I loved her style and felt comfortable with her right from our first call. After meeting in person I was so excited to work with her, she's obviously great at what she does but her calm, cool attitude was also what I was looking for in a photographer- as someone who was nervous about being in front of the camera, I needed someone who was more docu style and who I felt comfortable with! On the day Emily kept it fun and high energy, and executed all of the specific shots around our venue that I had asked for.

    I don’t know how we ended up so lucky to have found Emily as our photographer! It started out as her capturing pictures of our little family, to engagement, wedding, maternity and all of our family Christmas photos!! There is no one in the world I trust more to create these lifetime moments with. She puts so much thought, care and love into her work and you can feel that in every session, then to just be reminded of it when you receive your photos. Without hesitation, pause, or question, I will lovingly document any milestones for any human who feels a connection to me or my work.
I’m based in San Diego, Ca, but I travel all over to capture love.
This is SO hard to estimate. I always deliver as many as possible but it really depends on each individual event. If I'm at a minimal elopement for a few hours you may get ≤200 photos, if I'm at a full-day wedding with a lot of details you'll most likely receive over 500.
If you and your partner are thinking of skipping the fuss and running off to do a private ceremony with just the two of you or a handful of your nearest and dearest, I’d be absolutely honoured to document your intimate ceremony. My elopement packages start at 4 hours’ coverage, so get in touch if you’d like to learn more.
Absolutely!! Whether it's via a facetime or zoom, or an in-person coffee date I love to get to know my couples, and I think it's super important that we 'click.' I like to be a friend first and photographer second it really makes such a huge difference in the experience and how your photos turn out!
Firstly, I’ll send you a handful of sneak peek shots a couple of days after your wedding. 6ish weeks later, you’ll receive a link to your online gallery and slide slow to watch and relive your wedding day. Around the same time, you’ll also receive a beautiful package in the mail if you've ordered deliverables with a USB, prints and a little thank you from me.
It will take roughly 6-8 weeks to receive your final wedding photos. I put a lot of love and care into perfecting each image, which is why it’ll take me a little bit more time to deliver your final images. If you’d like your photos sooner, please ask me about the rush fee.
Yes, we can split your payments into multiple installments. Just let me know & we can chat!
Of course, I’d love for you to print your favourite photos! You can easily order photos prints through your online gallery.
Life is complicated and the unexpected is to be expected. Your retainer is nonrefundable, it saves your time and date in my calendar as well as pays for my time and the style, location and pricing guides (like this) i've worked so hard on. If you want to reschedule, you can use that deposit towards booking another date!

No, but let me explain! My average RAW photos are 20 MB each, think about that for a wedding! That's sometimes 200+ GB of RAW files! Your computer may not even be able to open & view these specialized files. Secondly, RAW files are unedited and therefore are not an accurate representation of my work or brand. You're hiring me for the specific way I process my photos right?!
