Joe Dickson is the creative heart behind Dickson Photographs, based in Dayton, OH. Photography isn’t just a job—it’s his passion. He’s always carrying a camera, whether it’s during a hike or time with family. His craft is deeply rooted in years of immersive experience, nurtured by growing up in a household where his father was a professional photographer.

Peak pricing $2,200

Description

The basic package includes one photographer for your entire event. With this being a day rate instead of hour based, you get full coverage without having to worry about sacrificing parts of your day to fit your budget. All photos from your day are delivered fully edited through an online gallery.

Signature Collection

Peak pricing $3,600

Description

With the Luxe package, you get two photographers for your full day. Similar to the Basic package, this being a day rate instead of hourly, you do not need to sacrifice parts of your day for budgetary reasons. This also comes with a 30 page wedding album of your favorite photos from the day and all the rest of your photos delivered fully edited through an online gallery. We also include four 8x10 prints of your choosing.

    Dickson Photographs was an exceptional choice for our wedding photography. From the very beginning, Joe and his team were incredibly responsive and thorough in their communication, making the planning process a breeze. On the day of the wedding, when things started to fall apart from a coordination perspective, Joe stepped in and took control, getting everyone together and back on schedule without us even having to ask. He was so nice and comfortable working with the other vendors, and did an amazing job capturing all the special moments of our big day. You will get every photo that I capture that day. I never want to delete any photos that are acceptable because there may be something in the photo that means something to you that I am not aware of. Typically, full weddings can expect between 1500 and 3000 photos depending on how lively the event is or if I have a second photographer.
As soon as possible. My calendar fills up all year long and if I am available for your wedding day it may not last long. I do not block off any dates until the 50% deposit is paid and the contract is signed.
Absolutely! I deliver fully edited galleries to my couples. If there are further edits requested, I will do select images up to 30 without additional charge.
The time varies depending on how many photos are captured. In general I promise no more than 5 weeks. I have yet to take that long but it is my worst case scenario time frame. Every couple gets a handful of photos the night of the event, fully edited to post and have while the gallery is being prepared.
My base package only includes me but I do have options to add additional assistants or photographers. If a second photographer is added, I edit all of their photos with mine so that you get a seamless look across all of your photos.
Yes I do.
Yes! We offer 3-5 minute highlight videos. These videos capture moments in ways photos alone can’t.
Yes. Every couple that books me for their wedding gets a free engagement shoot scheduled at their convenience based on my availability. I throw it in so that I can get to know the couple prior to the wedding day so that everything goes smoother and I have a feel for their personalities. I do not give discounts to remove it or to those who did an engagement session before booking me for their wedding. My engagement session fee is $350 if not scheduled after booking the wedding.
There is no hour limit. I give full day price so that you do not have to determine how much of your day you can fit into your budget. I want my couples to get what they have always wanted and be able to look back on the entire day without worrying about times. This also helps tremendously in wedding planning leading up to the day so that you have full flexibility to plan it how you want.
I do not offer a pre built package but will definitely put one together for you. If you want to get info on a package for your day, please reach out and I will get back to you right away.
Absolutely! If you would like a specific package, please reach out and I will work with you to put something together that will fit you and your day.
I will allow a family member with a camera to get additional coverage as long as they do not interfere with the job I am there to do. If you have a family member doing any sort of photography (camera, phone, drone, etc) I will not edit their photos unless an additional fee is paid. I also will not add their photos to the gallery unless an additional fee is paid.
Yes. I do not care what you do with your photos once I deliver them as long as you keep them as personal use (print, social media, family and friends, etc.) The only time I would need to be contacted is if you try and use them for commercial purposes.
