Chasing Chickadees Photography is a husband and wife team based in the Las Vegas area. The owner and lead photographer, Alicia, is a professional photographer who has a fine arts degree in photography. She has over 15 years of experience, working with every type of photography. Alicia loves to capture the spirit of people in portraits and weddings the most. Her background in science studying birds and life working on ranches and with wildlife gives her work a flair with nature and landscape. Whether photographing baby birds or capturing the love and passion between two humans, her heart and soul are always with her behind the lens.

We believe that our couples deserve more than just gorgeous pictures, they deserve an incredible photography EXPERIENCE. Alicia and her husband Keith are great! They are very nice and want to make sure your day is special and your photos turn out the way you want them to. Our shot list got a bit crazy the day of, but I think we only ended up skipping a couple photos the whole day. When getting a sneak peek back from Alicia, I noticed my hair and makeup people left my extensions showing! Alicia was nice enough to edit them out of all the photos I felt like they were really obvious in. She also let us request other moments of the day where we thought there may be specific photos that she hadn't originally included in the album. Many she had, some she did not, but it was really nice of her to let us request them! Also, she got us all our photos back only ONE week later!! That is crazy fast! Overall can't go wrong picking Chasing Chickadees! My maid of honor said she liked our photos the best out of all our friends weddings :)

Alicia and her husband Keith did a phenomenal job not only capturing gorgeous shots on my wedding day but also our engagement shoot and rehearsal dinner. Her positive energy is infectious and she made me feel so comfortable. She also had an incredibly quick turn around time to get my final photos to me! Alicia goes above and beyond got her clients. How can we even begin to describe the tremendous impact Chasing Chickadees had on the success and specialness of our wedding day? All through the pandemic she was there for us with encouraging words, answers to all our questions, and in-depth advice for the big day, and most importantly unmatchable enthusiasm! Alicia is a fantastic problem-solver and handles all of the unexpected that a wedding can bring with ease and grace. Together Alicia and Keith are the perfect team, both when working together during the main event as well as separately to capture special moments with the family and bridal party before the wedding. Everyone including us responded so well to Alicia and Keith’s warm and genuine manner as photographers and this made pictures a fun bonding experience even for the most camera-shy! After the wedding day, Alicia was amazingly efficient in getting us our wedding photos, even sending us gorgeous teasers which helped us realize that it all really finally happened! And the photos were beautiful! My sister put it much better than I can, saying “Alicia really captured the colors and feelings of the day” and it is so true. The Chasing Chickadees team captured all the moments - both the big ones and the small special ones - so genuinely and gorgeously and we are so thankful for that. Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Typically, couples book me about 12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Yes, when you choose a package with a second photographer, my husband will join to shoot. He's fantastic and we work together like a superhero team!

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a gallery through my provider Pixieset with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

In all my years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Good question! I fell in love with birds during college and have spent over a decade as a wildlife biologist studying them. When I worked in the Northwest US, I fell in love with the "cheese-burger" song of the Black-capped Chickadee and their feisty personalities. I seem to always end up living in places devoid of my favorite bird, hence the fact I am always chasing after them.
