Bustle & Twine

Bustle & Twine specializes in documentary wedding photography - telling the story of your day through all the beautiful details, unexpected surprises, and candid emotions as they unfold. We strive to capture every moment of your day while keeping a low profile. Our team is comprised of award-winning professional photojournalists and portrait photographers, and while we were founded in 2014, all of our founding members have been documenting weddings for over 10 years now.

We like to get to know you, your family and friends so that when we are capturing your big day we are capturing all those little moments that are extra important to you. We want you to enjoy your wedding day so when it comes to the photos we make it fun and we make sure to not have it take up your entire day - you spent a lot of time planning this day and we want you to be able to enjoy it and be a part of it! The review we strive for is when our couples say that they can't believe we captured a certain moment so beautifully without them even knowing we were there at that time.

Lisa was amazing!! From the very first chat and through the wedding day, she was so easy to work with and was able to capturing the vibe we wanted for our photos. She blended in, and was able to capture so many special candid moments of not only us, but of our wedding guests as well. We were, of course, so eager to see the photos after the wedding. She had them edited and uploaded for our viewing so quickly. We were so happy with how they all turned out and we have loved being able to relive our special day and any of the moments we missed. We would definitely recommend Bustle and Twine!

We absolutely loved working with James and his team on our wedding day! They were so professional, kind, skilled, and made us feel at ease. We were not super comfortable in front of the camera so I was nervous how our photos would turn out, but they created such a relaxed environment, and our photos turned out so beautiful. Really quick editing turn around too, many photographers we scoped out would take 8-12 weeks to turn around all the photos. James and his team delivered nearly 1000 photos to us in just a few weeks. He also came to our rehearsal the night before (completely unprompted!) to scope out the venue ahead of time. Overall a phenomenal experience. I cant wait to work with Bustle and Twine again for family photos in the future. Thank you B&T!!!!

We first hired Lisa from Bustle & Twine to photograph our wedding in 2016, based on a recommendation from a friend. Working with her was wonderful, from the ease of communication to her professionalism and flexibility. We currently have several of her photos on our wall at home and they make me smile every time I see them. She managed to find the right backdrops to create pictures that aren't just lovely mementos, they are works of art. To our surprise, she sent us first peek images in less than 24 hours, which was amazing and so fun to look at on our honeymoon! Beyond her talent as a photographer, Lisa is also such a kind person that she makes everyone feel comfortable and she is always open to questions, comments, or suggestions. I can't imagine a better wedding photographer. And I should say that we loved Lisa's work so much that we've now had her take family pictures for us four years in a row. We now have two (sometimes grumpy) little kids and she is AMAZING at getting them to behave and look their best while choosing locations that are amazing backdrops for what could otherwise be run-of-the-mill family photos. We've gotten so many compliments on her pictures and we will continue to work with her as much as possible. She is truly the best.
