About Brilliant Lens Photography

Brilliant Lens Photography

Owner & Lead Photographer

Photography has been part of my life since 2009, long before it became my profession in 2015. My background is rooted in fine art, where I learned to slow down, observe, and pay attention to the subtle details most people pass by, the way light shifts, the space between moments, the emotion that lives in quiet gestures. That perspective naturally led me to wedding photography. Rather than staging every moment, I approach weddings as living stories, unfolding in real time.

My work is documentary-driven, focused on genuine emotion, natural movement, and the in-between moments that often become the most meaningful. I strive to create an experience where couples feel comfortable, grounded, and fully present. The photographs that come from that place are honest, timeless, and deeply personal, images that don’t just document a day, but preserve how it truly felt.

He Captured Everything Without Us Even Noticing

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who captures the day without making it feel like a photoshoot, Jason is truly exceptional. From the moment he arrived, he was incredibly professional and thoughtful, but what stood out most was how discreet he was. It never felt like he was in the way or orchestrating moments that should have been natural. Because of that, my husband and I were able to fully be present and soak in our wedding day—and somehow he still captured every meaningful moment. I’m Indian and my husband is not, and Jason beautifully captured both the cultural intricacies of the day and the genuine emotions behind them. Looking through our photos, it’s amazing how many moments he caught that we didn’t even realize were happening at the time. We also received our photos sooner than expected, which was such a pleasant surprise. And the quality is absolutely stunning. The memories he captured, the quality and his eye are priceless. If you’re considering him for your wedding, do it. You’ll be so grateful you did.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and meaningful review Shar. It truly means a lot. It was an absolute honor to be part of your day. The way your cultures came together was incredibly special, and I’m really grateful I had the opportunity to document it. My goal is always to let couples stay fully present while I quietly capture what’s naturally unfolding, so hearing that you felt that way means everything to me. I’m especially glad you’re discovering moments you didn’t even realize were happening, those are often the most meaningful ones. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together, and thank you again for trusting me with such an important day.

    Brilliant Lens Photography

Jason is a very accomplished photographer. He put my fiance and our guests at ease while doing his job and capturing the moments during our rehearsal dinner leading up to the wedding the following evening. His photography album can tell a story of our very special wedding weekend! I would highly recommend Brillant Lens Photography to capture your special day!

Thank you so much, Betty! It was truly a pleasure being part of your wedding weekend, from the rehearsal dinner through the big day. I’m so glad the photos tell the story of such a special time for you both. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Most couples book between 9 and 18 months in advance, especially for popular spring and fall dates. That said, I occasionally have availability for shorter timelines or smaller celebrations, so feel free to reach out even if your wedding is approaching quickly.
I personally photograph every wedding myself. This allows me to maintain a consistent documentary style and ensures that the person whose work you connected with is the one capturing your day. My approach focuses on quietly observing and capturing authentic moments rather than directing the event with a large team. For larger weddings or venues with multiple simultaneous events, I can discuss options in advance, but most celebrations are comfortably covered by a single photographer working unobtrusively.
Yes. Every image delivered in your final gallery is carefully reviewed and professionally edited for color, exposure, and overall consistency. My goal is to create a natural, timeless look while preserving the authentic atmosphere of your day.
I specialize in photography and focus entirely on capturing the story of your wedding through images. However, I’m happy to recommend excellent videographers if you’re looking to add video coverage to your day.
Wedding galleries are typically delivered within 4–6 weeks. This allows time to carefully curate and edit the images so that your final gallery reflects the full story of your wedding day.
The number of images varies depending on the length and flow of the wedding, but most couples receive between 300 and 800 fully edited photographs that document the key moments and atmosphere of the day (depending on their budget).
In the unlikely event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding due to illness or emergency, I maintain relationships with trusted professional photographers who share a similar style and standard of work. Every effort would be made to ensure your wedding is still covered seamlessly.
While my style is primarily documentary, I absolutely help guide couples during portraits so you feel comfortable and natural. The goal is relaxed, authentic images rather than stiff or overly posed photos.
In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
