I am non denominational, and I am LGBT friendly. I am delighted to perform services for any happy couple for a wedding, elopement, vow renewal or commitment ceremony. I am available all year, and all seven days of the week, in the Nags Head, Wanchese, Manteo and Coquina Beach areas of the Outer Banks. Pack your flipflops, head to the OBX, and let’s get your Wedding Knots Tied!

Every ceremony I perform is personalized for the couple. Maybe you want something romantic and traditional, relaxed and lighthearted, spiritual, completely nonreligious, or a combination of styles. You can write your own vows, choose traditional vows, use options I provide, or simply say “I do.” There is no right or wrong way to do it...only what feels comfortable and meaningful to you.

    The best!

    Melody was absolutely wonderful. From the first time we spoke, she made us feel comfortable and completely at ease. Our ceremony felt personal and meaningful without being overly formal. She took the time to understand what we wanted and made the whole experience feel like us. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to marry us.

    We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. Melody made the entire experience feel so personal, meaningful, and completely natural. From the words she chose to the way she delivered the ceremony, everything fit us perfectly. We wanted something simple and intimate in the Outer Banks, and she made it exactly what we hoped it would be. The ceremony was beautiful without feeling overly formal or rehearsed, and the references to the ocean and marriage made it especially meaningful given where we chose to get married. Melody was warm, genuine, professional, and made us both feel completely comfortable from beginning to end. Looking back, we honestly wouldn’t change a single thing about our ceremony.     Rev. Melody was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend her for your wedding vows! She is so sweet and flexible and did such a beautiful job with our vows! Are wedding had a lot rain in the forecast for the weekend and she was able to switch days for us. Look no further and book her immediately!

    Melody was amazing! She goes above and beyond to make sure your special day is how you want it to be. She made our courthouse ceremony simple and perfect, but so special. I have been performing wedding ceremonies since 2012.
Yes, I can still perform your ceremony. In fact, I have done that for many couples.
Absolutely you can personalize your ceremony. We can tweak the wording and add any special pieces you'd like, including a sand ceremony, hand fasting, etc.
I do offer rehearsals. They are an additional fee of $150, and are scheduled for the day before your ceremony.
I no longer remember the number of couples that I have married. In a normal wedding season here on the Outer Banks, I do between 60 - 90 ceremonies a year.
I do offer premarital counseling, but I do not require it to perform a ceremony.
