Genn Shaughnessy

Genn Shaughnessy is a Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist with 25+ years in the TV & Film, Beauty, and Wedding industry that helps people look and feel beautiful in front of the camera. Genn is an international stylist with multiple credits to her name but one of her prized accomplishments is the creation of her own makeup brand, Backstage Stylist Cosmetics and her home Studio, Backstage Studios & Academy.

I’ve been a HMU in TV & Film and the special event industry since 2002. I mostly work on film sets during the week, but also spend time in my studio doing permanent makeup, lash lifts and keratin hair treatments. When I work on set I am prepping various types of talent for video & stills. Being that I have a TV, Film & Stage background, I specialise in Rock-n-Roll, Boho, Offbeat, & Eccentric weddings. My favorite style is rock n roll glam and soft glam, but always coordinate looks to your individual style and preference.
