Sarah Westervelt

Owner, Floral Designer

Sarah began her design career at Parsons School of Design in New York City, earning a BFA in Interior Design. Moving on to Boston, Sarah helped to create some of the city's most celebrated galas, weddings, and events with a leading event planning & design firm. Later she joined Boston's top florist—Winston Flowers—where she found her calling by collaborating with other artists to create floral masterpieces for private residences, weddings, and fundraisers.

Following her heart, Sarah made Santa Barbara home in 2017 and applied her wealth of event knowledge launching Wild West Florals in 2019. Wild West Florals is floral design studio specializing in weddings and events. The studio represents the culmination of high-end floral design and event production expertise.

    Brought our vision to life!

    Hiring Sarah of Wild West Floral was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The moment I saw her work, I knew she was exactly who I wanted to work with, but she still managed to exceed my expectations. She turned around a proposal quickly, thoughtfully inspired by the Pinterest board I'd shared, and it gave me full confidence right away that she truly understood my vision. There's something surreal about carrying a vision in your head for months and months, and then walking into your wedding to find it brought to life exactly as you'd imagined. That's what Sarah gave us. Her florals were quintessentially Californian — airy, loose arrangements that looked as though they'd sprung straight from the ground. Nothing was tight or overly "weddingy." What made her even more special was how generously she worked within our budget. She was wonderfully creative about repurposing arrangements throughout the evening — moving pieces from one part of the night to another — so that we got the fullest possible impact without the added cost. I just got some of the photos back, and they are beyond my wildest dreams. If you want a florist who will honor your vision, bring real artistry to it, and take genuine care with your budget, hire Sarah. We are so grateful we did.

    Beautiful floral arrangements

    Sarah is amazing and made our day so beautiful! She is professional, warm, and created such gorgeous floral arrangements for our ceremony and reception. We cannot recommend her enough!
