I started Stargazer Designs in 2004 after seeing a need for a designer to create wedding day looks. As a decorator I am able to provide an eye for where décor and flowers can be placed to best utilize the space and make the most impact. With most couples on a budget for a wedding you need to decide where your money will be best spent based on what's important to you. Having been in the floral business for over 30 years gives me the experience to offer you different options to achieve your dream wedding!

    From Vision to Enchanted Reality

    Michelle and her team brought our Whimsical Fairy Tale wedding theme to life in a way we could’ve never imagined. From florals to magical touches throughout the venue, every element was stunning. When we stepped into the ceremony and reception spaces, we were in tears — it was absolutely perfect. Special shoutout for the gorgeous floral lapel boutonnière — it added the perfect pop and personal flair. Michelle is a visionary and a joy to work with, especially if you’re getting married at The Gardens of Castle Rock!

    Living in a Dream

    Stargazer Designs is one of the reasons our wedding day was so magical, Michelle was able to take our fantasy and turn it into reality with ease and class. Everywhere we looked there was a surprise around the corner, from the lanterns in the trees to the rose gold table cloths, there was always something to look at. Flowers and decor were high on my priority list and Michelle and her team went above and beyond our expectations! Yes! We offer a variety of rentals for an additional cost from aisle runners to backdrops, arches, linens, ceiling draping, lounge furniture, candles, mirrors, and more. Get in touch to see our full list.
We offer delivery, setup, and breakdown services. There is no minimum for flowers and rental items, the delivery charges are based on mileage from Owatonna. We love to decorate new venues and are happy to travel! Since many weddings require a professional set up, we also charge a separate fee for event installation and tear down.

Consultations last approximately 1 to 2 hours. Please come prepared with details about your wedding such as budget, style, & any inspiration you have for your flowers. Images of your venue, wedding attire, fabric swatches, colors, photos from social media, are all helpful. More ideas makes it easier to assist you. After consultation, we will type up a proposal with prices & email it to you.
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception.
During your consultation, we will go over all the gorgeous in-season floral offerings available for your wedding date. We love supporting local growers and regional flowers and greenery!
We are able to offer shadow box displays of your bouquet, boutonniere along with invitations, save the dates etc. Let us know what you are looking for and we can let you know if your bouquet is able to be recreated or if it will work better to have certain flowers preserved. We will help you with the sizes and layout of the finished product.
It’s never too early to get in touch about your wedding, but we recommend having a few details figured out before you do. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Typically, our couples reach out around 6 to 8 months before their big day.
