Bonjour, I’m Kait., Founder + Florist of French Girl Florals. We are a floral design studio in San Diego, Ca., but our story starts in France. I was born in a suburb of Paris and in the summer, my family would vacation in Antibes. When I was young, my Grandmother, “Mamie Genevieve” would have me help around the house by creating arrangements with flowers from our garden. She believed flowers had the power to transform a space, cultivate an ambiance and encourage us to linger over dinner and enjoy one another. Those summer chores were my earliest interactions with floral design and though seasons change, I still hold onto those garden roots.

First and foremost, I care about each wedding I work on as if it were my own. I always go above and beyond to make sure I deliver beyond expectations. Full stop. You can expect a level of personalized care that other florists just don't offer. As far as florals go... Our signature style combines the romance of soft, whimsical blooms with sculptural artistry. Inspired by traditional techniques, we play with movement, texture and shape to reimagine our modern designs. We source the freshest blooms + seasonal greenery and support local businesses by working with a small list of talented artisans who elevate our aesthetic.

The DREAM Florist!
I can't even put into words how much my Husband and I loved working with Kait at French Girl Florals! From our original sales call, to wrapping up our wedding week, she was a joy throughout. When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted it to be maximalist and colorful, without getting tacky. I struggled to articulate my exact vision, but knew what I was working towards. Kait took the time to work with me, and make my ambitious vision a reality, and even better than I originally imagined it! She went above and beyond by creating custom mood boards and mock ups that allowed us to fully understand how everything would come together. We met in person at the venue and online a few times to tailor the aesthetic and finalize our order. Kait was more than happy to text or hop on a call when I had new ideas to share. On the day, she was such a joy to be around, and made us feel so celebrated and calm. She paid close attention to detail, even taking a moment to fix up my bouquet and my husbands boutonniere before we walked down the aisle after taking a bunch of family photos. The florals were absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and all of our guests loved them. We incorporated some fruit styling which was such a fun touch. Kait was even sweet enough to drop some extras off at our house after the wedding so I can get some preserved, and I'm so excited to have them in a frame to enjoy forever! I work as a wedding planner, and have worked with many florists, but Kait is now at the top of my recommendation list. I am so excited to continue singing her praise to all of my clients. Highly recommend Kait!
I had the pleasure of working with Kait on an event in San Diego, and her work was absolutely beautiful. She created thoughtful, well-designed florals on very short notice, and her communication throughout the process was excellent. Even though she wasn’t able to handle delivery or setup for this shoot, she truly set me up for success. Pickup from her studio was seamless, everything was clearly labeled, and her instructions were detailed and easy to follow, making installation smooth and stress-free. She is professional, talented, and a great collaborator — I would absolutely recommend her to planners and clients alike and look forward to working together again.

Kait was so so amazing to work with! We came to her not even knowing what flowers we wanted and just threw vague descriptions of what we were going for and OH MY GOD did she deliver! She took the time to understand our vision and had several meetings with us to make sure what she was planning aligned with us. Not only is she an amazing florist but she is also a wonderful human and even took the time to send us recommendations on places to go for our honeymoon because she had also been there. You cannot find a better florist than her!!

Amazing!!
Kait and her team executed our wedding florals flawlessly! When we first came to Kait, we were slightly hesitant after speaking to many other florists and others not understanding our vision. We were looking for bright colors but still elegant/romantic. Everything from our unique bouquet to our broken flower arch was perfect - we are still receiving compliments! The whole team was so great and I’m so glad that Kait was so easy to talk to!!

Kait made my wedding MAGICAL. A true visionary
The floral design was hands-down my favorite part of our wedding — it absolutely blew me away and transformed the entire venue into something magical. Kait has a rare gift for taking your vision and elevating it beyond what you could have ever imagined. Even as my ideas changed multiple times, and we faced both time and budget constraints, she brought it all together seamlessly. Her flexibility, creativity, and ability to expand on my dreams are proof of her incredible talent. She went above and beyond in every detail — from coordinating the most stunning acrylic tray to preserve my bouquet, to donating the remaining flowers to a nursing home just as I had wished. On the wedding day, her professionalism and calm presence meant the world to me; she never added an ounce of stress, only joy. She even surprised me with the sweetest bridal gifts before and after the wedding, making me feel truly celebrated. She is a true visionary, a joy to work with, and worth every single penny. I am endlessly grateful for the beauty she brought to my bridal era and will treasure her work — and her kindness — forever. I'll never forget standing at the alter and looking down at the most beautiful bouncy hydrangeas. She made it look like a six-figure wedding.
