Hello! My name is Megan, I am a self-taught floral designer and proud of it! While I was an event intern at a large non-profit, I did all fifty centerpieces for our first gala. My bosses took a chance on me and I'd like to say it paid off! I was quickly hired after my internship ended and worked my way up to Director of Events. Throughout my four years there I planned all of our large-scale events, which included designing all floral elements for each event. It was at that job I truly learned just how obsessed I am with planning and executing events, as well as floral design.

I was born and raised in Baltimore County, and now live in Edgewater with my husband and our pup, Frank! After more than five years of balancing my full-time job as an event professional with Carried Away as my side project, I have finally made Carried Away my full-time job.

Execution was Perfect!
Upon getting engaged I immediately knew I would be reaching out to Megan from years of following her business journey. I am far from a floral expert and she was able to help guide me through my thoughts with her knowledge and keep everything budget friendly. She was also to make changes on the fly due to weather. Our wedding was quite windy and her arrangements did not budge from the Arch plus last minute changes due to weather went off with out a hitch. And if you need her to add extra florals to your wedding cake to spruce it up, the work was perfect. Absolutely hire Megan if you're in the area!

Helpful and Affordable!
We worked with Megan on our wedding florals and she was nothing but patient, helpful, and creative! We were stunned by the beauty of our florals on the day of the wedding. We also appreciated that she was willing to work within a reasonable budget. Some other florists were charging insane prices that were way out of our budget. Megan was both affordable and highly skilled!
