Question 1

Do you have a bench that I can turn into a flag bench?

Accepted Answer

I have an inventory of benches that people donate. Years of neglect means all the wood needs to be replaced. I use White Oak, a quality product. The standard cast iron flag bench is 4ft wide, the height ranges from 28" to 30" and this changes how much wood is needed.

Question 2

How much does a custom flag bench cost?

Accepted Answer

Each bench is a custom piece of art. Pricing depends on what I start with and how much time it will take to create a stunning bench. Contact me to start the conversation.

Question 3

What is included in a flag bench?

Accepted Answer

All flag benches have a blue cast steel background and fifty 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" white powdered baked steel stars are attached by hand with stainless steel screws. All benches get new hardware which is included in the quote you will receive.

Question 4

Can you engrave a message on the bench?

Accepted Answer

Some clients want a message or memorial engraved in the wood. Depending on the customer's vision they can have anything engraved at $60 per board. Engraving changes the timeline to complete the bench.

Question 5

How long does it take to complete a bench?

Accepted Answer

I will provide a written quote within 2-3 weeks of receiving a bench. If you accept the quote, I ask you to sign the quote and put down a 50% deposit of the full price. Only then will I schedule it for production. If you need it in a hurry, I'm not your guy.

Question 6

Do you offer discounts for veterans and first responders?

Accepted Answer

Veterans, first responders and related family members all deserve a discount! I will charge 50% up front to begin the customization process, which covers material costs. Final payment is due upon completion.

Question 7

Do you deliver the benches?

Accepted Answer

I will deliver and pickup at no charge to customers in RI in Bristol or Plymouth Counties in MA. If an order is beyond this free delivery area, I will quote a reasonable price to deliver the bench or you can pick it up.

Question 8

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept Venmo or cash for payment.

Question 9

How should I care for my custom flag bench?

Accepted Answer

All benches are cast iron. Once the bench is received by the customer, it is their responsibility to care for the bench. Cast iron cannot be welded once broken. Do not put excessive weight (above 300 lbs) on the custom bench. All benches should be protected from rain, snow, etc. I advise you to cover the flag bench with a grill cover to protect it, or take it inside when the weather turns cold.
