Cooking with the seasons and aiming to source as much as possible from local farms and vendors, we curate menus that honor the origins of the food and hone the creativity of our chefs. We cater all different types of events, such as weddings, parties, graduations, fundraisers, and more.
We provide customized menus, delicious food, and clear and organized communication that takes the stress out of planning. We strive to put on events that feel generous, joyful, and deeply rooted in time and place.

Thoughtful team, delicious food!
Wheelhouse catered our wedding reception with a lightly staffed buffet service. Despite us choosing a budget-friendly tier, Jake and the rest of the Wheelhouse team treated us with the utmost care and professionalism. The standout moment for us during our planning stage was when we first received the proposed menu. We loved the dishes selected, but as one side of our family is Taiwanese, we asked if we could have at least one Asian-inspired main dish. We didn't want to set our expectations too high, so any close to Asian flavor would have sufficed, but Jake and the team came back and proposed Three Cup Chicken as one of the main dishes, which thrilled and delighted us as Three Cup Chicken is a very beloved Taiwanese dish. And so we knew we had to hire them. Wheelhouse was also very thoughtful about the dietary restrictions on our guest list, of which there were numerous. We wanted to know that every single guest could have a substantial meal, even the ones who always felt like they needed to bring their own food everywhere they went. We wanted them to feel taken care of, and Wheelhouse let us do that. Shout-out to Oli and Elaina who staffed the buffet! They were fantastic and tucked away the leftovers in the venue fridge so we could easily take them with us to feed the family and friends that lingered over the rest of the weekend. And also, the food was FANTASTIC! We had reports of people going back for seconds. The Three Cup Chicken and the Chickpea Tagine with couscous were standouts. Often vegan main dish options are considered an afterthought, but the tagine was a star. The compostable dishes and cutlery that came with our service was also a very nice touch. It also didn't hurt that we told our Day of Coordinator that Wheelhouse was catering and she knew of their excellent food and service from working with them on other weddings. Truly, could not recommend Wheelhouse more." It turned into a bit of an essay, but we had a lot to say! Once we receive our photos, we'll see if we can attach some food pics to our reviews or at least send them to you so you can have a copy. Thank you again for making our day so special.

The BEST Caterer!
Wheelhouse was the absolute best caterer for our 200 guest October wedding in the Berkshires! Working with Jake, Alex, and Shannon could not have been easier – they all listened to what we wanted, crafted the most delicious menu we could’ve imagined, and were so professional. We had a few very specific bar and service requests, and they absolutely delivered on everything. Our guests loved all the food and people were still talking about our specialty cocktails weeks later. Our only regret was that we didn’t have room to eat more food on our big day! Couldn’t recommend the Wheelhouse team more – thank you for making our wedding so memorable!!

The incredible food speaks for itself but, their staff and attention to detail is really what makes the experience exceptional. Food people kept talking about!
We hired Wheelhouse to cater and bartend our wedding in late July 2019, and we absolutely could not have been happier!! We are still getting compliments about how delicious the food was, and it pushed an already wonderful day over the top. Our wedding was at the Montague Retreat Center in the Pioneer Valley, and we wanted to make sure everything we did was as local as possible. Wheelhouse fit the bill exactly. All the food is locally, organically grown. Because it is so local, what is available can vary from season to season. Unfortunately, this meant that we weren’t able to taste the food before we booked them, since we were planning a summer wedding in the middle of winter. In the end, it didn’t matter -- the food was phenomenal and incredibly fresh. Our menu was vegetarian, but not one of our meat-loving guests walked away disappointed. We also have to compliment Wheelhouse on making everything so easy. Jake and Stephanie were a pleasure to work with -- they helped us pick out seasonal great menu choices that would suit our dietary needs, and on our wedding day the entire staff was kind and professional. We had them design a custom cocktail for us (delicious), and design our menu (beautiful), and we’re so glad we did. Really, we just can’t recommend Wheelhouse enough.
