Avoid this business

Poor communication, transparently bad business practices, and disrespectful customer service throughout. I would strongly advise against working with Robyn's Kitchen--- I hired Robyn to cater my mother’s 70th birthday dinner three months in advance. Because we were hosting a smaller event, it often felt like Robyn couldn’t be bothered to respond to our messages. When we had unresolved questions with the chef originally assigned to us and reached back out to Robyn, she simply forwarded our email back to the chef without resolving the issue. About a month before the event, Robyn emailed to let us know the original chef was no longer working with her and assigned us a replacement. She provided no details about the new chef, leading to an extremely uncomfortable situation when he arrived: it turned out he wasn't even her employee, but an outside contractor helping her out because she was "overbooked" (his words). When we later reached out to ask how to finalize payment with him, Robyn replied very rudely, stating we had to work that out with him because she’d already told me he wasn't one of her chefs (she had not told me that initially).
