Gruttadauria's 1914 Bakery is a small family owned bakery that started over 100 years ago when my great grandfaterher came over from Sicily. Originally he opened up in upstate New York. We moved our entire bakery to Temecula in 2017.

Tradition and passion are what makes us unique. Many of our recipes have been handed down from one generation to the next and with that a pride to provide a product that demonstrates our commitment to quality and a love for what we do. All our recipes are still made from scratch. We believe that the taste speaks for itself.

1914 is the best hands down. They made us the most perfect wedding cake. From the first inquiry to our tasting appointment, everything was perfect. Their cakes & desserts are some of the best I've ever had. Michael and the whole family are so sweet and helpful! Thank you again 1914!

Gruttadauria's 1914 Bakery was our assigned baker through Lake Oak Meadows. The quality of their work was great - the cake and other desserts they provided tasted delicious, and their signature frosting was a real highlight. They were able to accommodate a cutting cake and desserts for our reception. They initially said they couldn't make the specific cake style we wanted (vintage heart cake), which was very disappointing. We shopped around other bakeries and did other taste testings. By the time we had our taste test with 1914, they let us know they could actually do it after all. It came out very nice as did the other desserts.

We couldn’t have been more impressed with Gruttadauria's 1914 Bakery. The wedding cake they created was not only visually stunning but absolutely delicious! We had 3 different flavors and all were delicious! (Especially the Espresso cake w/Mocha Espresso filling!) Our guests raved about the pastries as well—each one looked like a little piece of art and tasted amazing, especially the lemon tarts and éclairs. We highly recommend 1914 Bakery for any event or celebration.

The tasting experience was done well even though they do not have a store setting. Everything was delivered to our venue and done just as we had asked for our clients. Will certainly use them again for other San Diego area weddings or events.
