Bisnonna Bakeshop is a small, family-owned and operated Italian artisan bakery. Bisnonna, which translates to great grandmother in Italian, is a celebration of family traditions, nostalgic food memories, and caring for our loved ones through food. Our recipes are passed down from generation to generation and we're proud to always make our bakes from scratch and by hand. We specialize in classic Italian pastries, like our signature cannoli, sfogliatelle, and more!

Everything at Bisnonna Bakeshop is from-scratch and made-to-order, because everything we bake is made by hand, not machines. We do it just like our grandmas did: with our hands covered in flour and a rolling pin at our side, one batch at a time.

    Helped Make A Dream, Reality

    Family is extremely important to us. Bisnonna provided the sweets at our wedding that allowed us and our family to remeber the tastes we got when we visited each of our grandmothers. Nicole was super easy to work with and helped us get exactly what we were looking for.

    Exactly what we wanted

    My mother reached out to Bisnonna Bakeshop because we wanted to incorporate a Viennese table into our wedding, which is a tradition in my family. From our first conversation, they understood our vision and made it a reality. On our wedding day, everything looked and tasted exactly as we imagined it would. The desserts were incredible and our guests couldn't stop talking about them. Bisnonna took the time to listen to what we wanted and delivered it perfectly. We're so grateful for their work and would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for a bakery that truly cares.

    Delicious cake

    Bisnonna made a beautiful rainbow cookie cake for our celebration. We had plenty to go around and all of the guests couldn't stop talking about how good it was! Nicole and her team were easy to work with and made dessert stress-free.

While our kitchen frequently works with all major allergen groups, we do have items on our menu that are gluten-free and nut-free. We are not a certified allergen-friendly kitchen and there is always a chance of cross-contamination from our shared workspace.
Yes, we are licensed by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. We are NOT a home-based / cottage bakery.
Delivery is an additional cost based on mileage / distance from our shop.
Customizable tastings can be purchased separately from our website.
