Rockbound Bar & Beverage is an insured "dry hire" bartending service covering all of Maine. We have an experienced, trained and certified team that love what they do. We are committed to guiding you through the entire process from purchase list to the final pour. Our basic packages include 5 hours of bar service, free consultation and planning. We are full service bartenders 2 signatures or a full bar we can make it happen without charging per menu item. We strive to make an open bar with a high level of service available to any budget and tailored to your special day.

Our team has a combined 35 years of experience behind the bar in a variety of settings. We work very hard to make your guests feel like our regulars at the establishments we work all year round. We take the safety and the fun of what we do very seriously recognizing that if staff aren't having fun neither will the guests. We provide a range of additional services to accommodate any venue. We build your contracts based on what details you may need assistance with. We want to bring you the perfect pour for an unforgettable celebration.

    Wedding Review

    Rockbound Bar bartended for our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier with the services provided. Leading up to the event, Joe was easy to coordinate and talk to, and made sure our event had all the necessities for beverage services. During the event, Joe showed up early to make sure everything was set up and ready. He worked with our drink selections and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. Joe went above and beyond and stayed a bit later after the event was finishing to make sure we had an easy time cleaning up. The drinks were delicious and he made our wedding a fantastic day.

Yes, our event minimum is $500 for all weddings/events. Our bartenders are hired for a minimum of 5 hours plus the additional time needed for setup/clean up. 1 bartender is required per 50-65 guests. This can be impacted based on the complexity of the menu. Bar tending assistants or barbacks can also be added for $300 per hours. These are staff with food service experience and certifications training to work our events with an experienced staff.
For summer and fall weddings, we recommend at least 10 months in advance.
We serve all of Maine and are willing to travel within New England.
Typically 1 call before the contract is signed makes sense to get the basic details agreed on. Another call 45 days or more before your event makes sense to manage additional service needs. Any additional calls for menu and alcohol purchase list development are complimentary with our services.
Absolutely! We are a dry hire service so we are insured and certified to serve the alcohol stock you provide. We serve 25 or more events in a year and can help you develop your menu to fit your event and budget. Our alcohol wholesale partners will take the list we develop for you and make the purchase process very simple. We also provide all of the materials and service outside of alcohol that make it a true bar like ice, garnish, mixers, cups/glassware and any other detail you can think of.
No, as a dry hire service we are not required to hold a liquor license and neither are the venues where we serve provided we are correctly insured and certified. Rockbound Bar & Beverage LLC holds both general and liquor liability coverages. All staff are W-2 employees or owners and covered adequately with workers compensation insurance. All of our staff have current TIPS and/or State of Maine certificates for alcohol service. Documents can be provided to customers, venues, and coordinators upon request.
