About Gourmesso.LA

I started (personal information protected by Zola) because coffee at weddings was always an afterthought — a folding table, a couple of thermoses, lukewarm by the time anyone wanted a cup. I wanted to bring the coffee shop experience to events instead — real barista, real espresso, drinks made to order. Someone's aunt gets a perfect cappuccino at 9 pm and mentions it for years. We don't try to be the whole catering package — we handle coffee so your caterer can focus on everything else. I've also done Jewish life-cycle events, so kosher requirements are no problem when that matters.

Most events treat coffee as an afterthought — a folding table with thermoses that go lukewarm by dessert. We do the opposite. We bring two full espresso machines and a barista who actually knows how to run them, so drinks are made to order, not poured from a carafe. We can comfortably handle groups up to 700, so we scale from an intimate backyard ceremony to a full ballroom without missing a beat. We're not trying to take over your event either — we complement whatever caterer you've already booked, handling coffee only. We're also kosher-friendly, with real experience at Jewish life-cycle events.

    Always the best coffee!

I’ve seen Gourmesso at multiple events I’ve attended. The baristas are always warm and friendly and the coffee is always delicious, especially when you need a pick-me-up at a late event. They have all the same drinks you could order at a coffee shop plus toppings for hot chocolate or if you have a sweet tooth like I do! Highly recommend hiring them if you’re planning an event.

I was at a bar mitzvah tonight where Gourmesso was serving coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Below is my brief and completely serious review. Presentation: A- Quality of products: A Service: C For the sake of fairness, I should add that my girlfriend and my brother-in-law both enjoyed the coffee, which is why the quality of product earns an A. While waiting in the buffet line, I noticed the coffee bar had mini stroopwafels. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if I could have one for my girlfriend, who loves stroopwafels. His response was a firm, “I’m not open yet.” I clarified that I was not asking for a drink, just one mini stroopwafel. Half-dollar sized, sitting in a jar directly in front of me. Without even looking up, he repeated, “I said I’m not open.” Same words, sharper tone, and maximum dismissal. At that point, there was only one logical course of action. An eight-person team was assembled. A plan was devised. It was not the heist of the century, but it was absolutely the heist of the evening. The jar of stroopwafels was successfully liberated. To be clear, the stroopwafels were excellent. Very tasty. Widely enjoyed by the entire table. But the real highlight was watching the gentleman search for his missing jar for the rest of the night. We are not criminals, so before the evening ended, another distraction was executed and the empty jar was quietly returned to its rightful owner. The lesson here is simple. Be kind. Be polite. And never underestimate the consequences of being dismissive over one mini stroopwafel.
