Hello! I’m Faith Salander- a professional wedding violinist based in the Illinois Valley. I have over 10 years of experience performing for weddings and events in the Illinois Valley and surrounding areas. I can play solo, with backing tracks, or collaborate with other musicians (duo, trio, quartet). I would love to have a consultation to meet, discuss music, and answer all of your questions!

For me, playing at weddings isn’t just about music—it’s about connection. I love getting to know each couple, hearing their story, and weaving those emotions into the music I play. No two weddings are ever the same, and that’s why I work closely with you to select the perfect songs for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception. My goal is to make sure you not only hear the music, but truly feel it. With years of performance experience, a wide repertoire, and a deep passion for celebrating love, I strive to bring professionalism and heart to every event.

    Salander Strings was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding! From the very beginning, Faith, the owner, had great communication and was so responsive to all of our questions and requests. She was open to some last minute changes, which made our ceremony music so personal and special. On the day of the wedding, the music they played was simply beautiful and really set the perfect tone for our special day. Our guests raved about how lovely the ceremony and cocktail hour music was. Faith is professional, talented, and helped make our wedding day truly memorable. I would highly recommend Salander Strings to any couple for their wedding day!!

    Salander Strings was absolutely amazing for our wedding! They were great with communication and even when we needed a pianist last minute she made it happen. As a bride I loved walking into the church and hearing the beautiful music! We had our violin and piano player cancel last minute and thanks to these guys we were still able to have the wedding of our dreams! I HIGHLY recommend them - they will not disappoint you!

    Faith has been teaching my granddaughters the violin for several years & she has always shown herself to be knowledgeable, patient, kind & fun.
