Regency Trio

The regency period in England (from 1811 to 1820) was a time of classic grace and elegance. Continental composers such as Mozart, Haydn, and J.C. Bach Followed the tradition, begun by Handel, of catering to the sophisticated Londoner's nearly insatiable craving for chamber music. The Popular combination of flute, violin, and cello proved to be ideal for their tasteful and charming music.

Regency Trio (flute, violin, and cello) has become one of the Twin Cities' most popular musical groups, having appeared in concert as well as at conventions, receptions, holiday parties, and weddings. The three musicians, Elaine Eagle, Barbara Lamb, and Charles Asch, have experience in all fields of music and are particularly at home in chamber music.
