    Wedding

    We hired GBX Entertainment - Germonty Moody to DJ our wedding and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Germonty was responsive and easy to work with, which made the whole planning process stress-free. On our wedding day, he brought genuine warmth to every moment, making sure our first dance and final song felt special while keeping the introductions smooth and fun. His playlist kept everyone on the dance floor all night, and his humor balanced perfectly with his kind approach to connecting with our guests. Germonty worked hard to make sure everyone felt welcomed and included, and he delivered exactly what we needed without us having to worry about a thing. We'd absolutely recommend him to any couple looking for a DJ who cares about making their day unforgettable.

    Thank You for Everything

    Germonty Moody was the DJ for our wedding, and I cannot tell you how awesome it turned out. He was fun and professional, kind, and genuine. He cared about more than his work as a DJ. He cared about us, extended help beyond his duties, and made us feel at ease knowing that he was on our side. We knew it would be a good time, but we received compliments beyond what we had expected (something like: "I can't remember the last time that I had this much fun"). He had almost all ages out on the dancefloor that night.

    Look no further !

    We attended a wedding where Germonty was the DJ, and we knew immediately we had to book him for ours. Not only was he kind and communicative, he kept the dance floor going all night (at both weddings). He easily read the room to smoothly transition to and from slow songs and upbeat crowd favorites. Multiple people told us that our DJ was the “best wedding DJ” they’d experienced and asked for his info to pass along. Bonus points for the fun lighting he provided, and the optional photo booth add-on which was a HUGE hit. I highly recommend him to everyone I talk to!

    Overall good event, with a rough start

    My husband and I used Germonty (GRock) for both our wedding ceremony and reception. Although he is certainly a skilled DJ, we ran into a few glaring issues that are worth mentioning. Throughout our planning meetings he was great — seemed on top of all the details and ensured us everything was taken care of. Our ceremony was 5pm on a Friday with guests to arrive at 4:30. We had discussed he’d be there in advance to setup and able to play a ‘pre-ceremony’ playlist at 4:30 that we curated to align with guest arrival. Well, come the day of the wedding he was late. (As in arriving at like 4:45 for the 5:00 ceremony.) People at our venue, including family, rushed to help him unpack. He was able to get set up just before 5pm. So although our guests mostly sat in silence before the ceremony, it started on time. Then for the procession, it began smoothly, but when it was time for the bride to come down the aisle, he completely played the wrong song… It was a gut-punch to see the look of shock/disappointment on the bride’s face. Aside from all of that, we do want to give him credit where credit is due. He did a great job throughout the reception and kept the energy going for the dance floor throughout the night. We’re not sure if he was having an off day or something, but were not really offered any reasoning behind what happened when we reached out after. Overall, we did like him, but cannot overlook some of the huge stressors and disappointments we experienced early in the day.

I genuinely appreciate your kind words regarding the reception and I'm so glad I was able to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed for the rest of the night. I am sincerely sorry that the beginning of your wedding day was stressful and did not meet the standards I strive for. I deeply regret the delay in my arrival. Due to an unexpected personal situation, I contacted your coordinator via text at 3:30 PM to advise of my revised 4:30 PM arrival time. I was confident I could still execute the 5:00 PM ceremony start without issue, which I am glad we achieved. I appreciated the venue's assistance with setting up the table and linen, and after a kind photographer assisted me with one case upon arrival, the remaining equipment setup was handled by myself post-ceremony. I was able to get your curated pre-ceremony music playing by 4:40 PM. Regarding the processional music, I am profoundly sorry for playing the incorrect track for the bride’s entrance. While I executed a swift, live-mixed transition back to the intended song's build-up—a change that was fortunately unnoticed by your guests—I fully understand how this impacted your personal expectations for that crucial moment. Thank you again for acknowledging the quality of the reception. I value your feedback on the initial issues, as it is critical for helping me improve my communication and preparation for unforeseen circumstances.

    VIBESS!!!

    Germonty was always on it with communication! He was so accommodating to our schedules and late night emails. On our wedding day, he kept the vibes and mood all the way up! He had EVERYBODY on the dance floor from grandparents to kids! He made sure everybody was having a good time and made sure my husband and I were taken care of no matter what. I will always recommend him for years to come. One of the biggest things we keep hearing is how awesome our DJ was and I couldn’t agree more.
