I am a self taught photographer. This journey started in 2013 as a stay-at-home mom with some young ones running around and an urge to dive into my creative side. It has since evolved beyond anything I ever thought it could. I genuinely love what I do and all of the connections I've made with all of the many amazing people I've worked with over the years.

There are many amazing photographers out there so I cannot say I am any better than anyone else. My style is considered dark and moody. I like shooting emotive photography and pulling that emotion out of my couples which is what you will experience during the engagement session. I will make you feel comfortable and confident which might require getting out of your comfort zone to get the perfect shot, it's a trust exercise that might require a little adventure but I promise it will be fun.

    I am not a colleague or friend of Ella Rose Photography (although it would be an honor to be friends with Michelle.) I am writing this review as a client. I fell in love with her style of photography a few years ago and booked her for my family's fall photos. Upon receiving my photo gallery I almost cried at how beautiful they were. That was when we were a family of five. Now we are a family of six, and have only gone back to Michelle for our photos. Not only is she kind and patient with my four children, but she has a way of capturing each one of their personalities with her lens and freezing that moment of time at their specific age that I can hold onto forever. You can definitely tell she's a mama. I would highly recommend (and have many times) Ella Rose Photography. Your photos will not just look like annual family photos on your wall, rather like fine art that will stand out amongst other family/wedding/etc. photos.

Typically, couples book me about 12 to 18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
A second photographer can be added to any package for $100 per hour with a minimum of three hours.
Absolutely, I hand edit all images to ensure they are all perfect.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible but I have some pretty amazing videographers I can refer you to.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8-12 weeks after your wedding.
You can expect about 50 to 75 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 9 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
