Just okay - perhaps better options out there

We booked Best DJs ever for our wedding earlier this year. While I had mostly a positive experience, the reception kind of put a damper on the day. Up to that, the ceremony, entrances, etc. all were great. For the reception, we had a very specific list of songs to be played (truthfully, I created a 5-hour playlist that they could've just put on shuffle or mixed), and a lot of songs we did not want played. They played quite a few of the songs we did not want, and almost none of the songs I was dying to hear on the dancefloor. Additionally, during our cake cutting they did not play the designated cake cutting song. I also asked that requests were okay, but to prioritize the bride and groom's requests, and I had several guests say that they did not get their requests played and that the DJ told them he wasn't allowed. I think a lot of this could've been fixed with better communication leading up to the wedding. Having the app is great, but it felt like my input on the app wasn't taken into consideration for the reception. Perhaps booking with caution or over-communicating with them from the get-go is something to keep in mind.

He was incredible! He sends an app for you to fill out and makes it very easy to communicate your needs. We asked and he delivered. He read the room and had excellent song choices and it all sounded so good! We just let him do his thing - barely any song requests because he was doing so well. I can’t recommend him enough. Very nice guy and great DJ.

Justin & Shane provided an incredible DJ & Photobooth experience for our May 2025 wedding! Justin was so responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, and the online DJ portal he provided (where I picked songs/playlists) was a breeze to use. They kept the dance floor groovin' and nailed the vibe we were going for, while also acting as great communicators/emcees. Not to mention the photobooth which was a *huge* hit, and such a nice add-on. I loved that we didn't have to find a separate vendor for that. Their pricing is also incredibly fair.
