I've been in the industry since 2014 and the Harper is by far one of my favorite venues to work at! As a planner/coordinator myself, I've worked with several venues and none are as professional and accommodating to its guests as well as its vendors. I always know that everyone that comes through Harper's doors are in good hands from beginning to end. Service is always impeccable--making the wedding planning process and the day-of as seamless as can be! I do not know any vendor nor any couple that has been dissatisfied with the Harper and this speaks volumes to how they treat the people they serve. Will continue to recommend the Harper to my clients who are looking for a beautiful, modern venue that will not disappoint!

This venue exceeded our expectations. It has everything you would need for a wedding. Get ready room, kitchen, ceremony and reception space, and the wonderful thing is you can personalize how you would like to use each space. The venue’s Spanish style look was enhanced by market lights, and overall has a natural aesthetic on its own. Bonnie, the site coordinator, is insanely helpful. She has wedding coordinating experience and that was apparent. She ensured the night was smooth and was on top of the schedule as well. She was attentive to our needs, even as that changed throughout the day, and she was extremely flexible with us throughout the overall process. We can’t thank her enough for making our special day seamless.

This location was perfect!!!! I honestly couldn't have been more pleased with how easy the owners made my planning. Loved that we were able to bring outside vendors for food. They are family owned and let me tell you they make you feel like family. That was one of my favorite things about this venue. Karis was amazing. She is one of the owners and was so welcoming. I loved that they had all the things I needed and had connections if they didn't. This made planning stress-free. I didn't have to call around to find chairs/tables/linen/heaters etc. My guests were all amazed with how unique and beautiful the venue was. Hopefully in the near future we can have our baby shower there.

We really hit the jackpot of OC wedding venues when we found the Muckenthaler Mansion. We got married two weeks ago on August 8 and it was incredible. Special shout out to Sheree, our day-of coordinator through Colette‘s Catering and the Muck, who worked with us through the entire wedding process. She helped our vision come to life. She was the one who helped us update our contract or go through everything every time we had a new suggestion or something fun. And on the wedding day, she made sure everything ran smooth I didn’t have to lift a finger. The Muck is so beautiful and the day was perfect. The entire event was outdoors except the last hour which was inside the mansion and that was so so much fun. We had about 180 guests and the venue was perfect for the ceremony and reception. We had the best day ever. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking to get married!

The French Estate is a charming wedding venue that is part of a historic estate based in Orange, California that specializes in intimate wedding celebrations for couples desiring an affordable alternative to the typical grand and costly venue space. Weddings of all sizes deserve attention and care, and this warm venue will allow you to focus on and enjoy the true reason for your wedding day.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Lush gardens
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
  • Does not provide event staff
My review of The French Estate and their staff is long over due. In March 2026 we had a beautiful wedding for my brother and his wife. I helped my brother and his wife find this venue and from the beginning to the big day , everything was handled beyond our expectations. We ultimately chose this venue because it offered a Ceremony and Reception space, getting ready areas for both the Bride and Groom, and the best bonus of having an amazing venue coordinator help with the big day. My brother is a chef , and his biggest non negotiable was being able to cater food from a vendor of his choosing, a lot of other venues require you to use their caterer onsite , so The French Estate inclusive packages were perfect for making his vision come true. We booked the The Venue Essentials package that included all the tables and chairs, a venue coordinator , linens (saving us an additional expense), access to The French Estates decor, the setup and tear down of reception space and other adds were available. We took advantage of using the French Estate servers , and their venue bartender for cocktail hour and reception. The venue also provides a shuttle service for guests who park at the nearby structure, since the venue is on a residential street. The shuttle service on the day of the wedding worked perfectly to get all of our guests comfortably to the venue. WEDDING DAY On the day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly thanks to the venue coordinator , Alyssa. I live with Multiple Sclerosis , and thankfully Alyssa was there because without her the day of would have been a mess. She effortlessly handled ceremony, happy hour and reception decor setup while also making sure the bride and groom were always taken care of. She made sure our vendors were where they needed to be and set up on time. I really appreciate the care she took to make sure my brother and his wife got their dinner first, always had a drink and were happy. After dinner I wasn’t feeling well , and I was having a flare up and Alyssa made use I was comfortable and hydrated while i hid in the bridal suite. The serving staff was extraordinary making sure the older guests were comfortable by moving umbrellas during the reception , you can really feel the care from the staff and i really appreciate the hard work throughout the whole wedding. Also the bartender, Ross was so fun and kept the vibes high throughout the night and kept all the guests happy from cocktail hour and throughout the reception. My brother and his wife had the most amazing time , and most perfect beautiful wedding. Im so appreciative of The French Estate staff, you can really tell they love their jobs and enjoy what they do. The owners are amazing and I can give endless compliments to the venue coordinator,Alyssa. I will always highly recommend this venue to anyone I meet, and hopefully in the future this will be my wedding venue too !
