Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. She was very communicative and upfront with us about costs (no surprise fees) as well as with what was doable or not in our price range. We never got the feeling that she was trying to upsell us on anything which was a huge relief because that can happen often in the industry. She listened to what we were envisioning and gave her input in a constructive manner (some of our favorite parts of the florals were Jen's ideas), and she also was honest with telling us if something was outdated or wouldn't fit with our aesthetic which we appreciated because we aren't experts on florals! She gave us the great idea to repurpose the bridesmaid bouquets for the reception centerpieces, which was the best decision we made because it was more practical and friendly for our budget. “Richard was helpful and respectful throughout our entire wedding planning process. He worked flawlessly with me, my partner, and our wedding planner to pull off an incredibly fun reception. Richard did an initial call with my partner to discuss the general vibe we were looking for, and we knew immediately he would be a great fit for our wedding. Richard gave us a helpful questionnaire to fill out key songs and general musical interests (and do not play songs). Richard was also happy to jump on calls with us to talk through our questions and hopes for our big day. I especially appreciated that Richard was able to play some German songs for some guests who had flown in from Germany, as that got even some of our older relatives on the dance floor. People were partying all night thanks to Richard! Richard catered to our wide age range of guests, and even gave us a couple of bonus closing songs that were the perfect conclusion to the night. We love EDM and house music and he was very knowledgable about all the music we talked about! We asked if we can make playlists for everything and it was super easy to send stuff over to him, to play during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He was AWESOME at introductions and did a great job of trying to stick with our schedule and being flexible. We also got the photobooth service from him and the pictures turned out amazing!! He sent us a link with all the pictures from the night, which we enjoyed looking at. He even sent a few videos! We also got the glow sticks and the crowd loved them!”

This special event involves all your family and close friends, and it comes with its own unique challenges.

“I reached out to so many planners/coordinators for my wedding and so many were either slow to respond or did not respond at all. Chelsea was prompt and excited to help, despite my wedding being quite the undertaking. I did my own (faux) flowers, which meant on top of regular day-of duties, she was putting up full floral arrangements, lighting hundreds of candles, and putting together tons of other small details and finishing touches. I can't emphasize this enough - our day would not have come together in the way that it did without her. She was on top of everything and truly made my vision come to life. She was helpful in dealing with other vendors as well, and did everything with a smile on her face. When I came to her days before my wedding with a crazy new surprise, she was down to help.
