The Carriage House
Rating: 5.0 (20 reviews)
Conroe, TX
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Just minutes from The Woodlands, The Carriage House settles into Conroe, Texas as a garden wedding venue built around choice as much as scenery. Couples exchange vows either outdoors, in a garden ceremony space overlooking the tranquil pond, or indoors, in a classic white chapel behind its signature red door, where white wooden walls, wooden pews, and natural light keep the mood timeless rather than fussy. Cocktail hour moves to a shaded patio, where the venue's sip-tini bar trailer pours something colorful while guests mingle before the reception. Around the grounds, a whimsical greenhouse, lush gardens, a vintage rope swing, and a classic red pickup truck all double as photo backdrops, giving portraits plenty of character beyond the ceremony itself. As a garden wedding venue hosting up to 250 guests, The Carriage House gives couples two distinct ceremony settings and no shortage of picturesque corners to make the day feel entirely their own.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Full catering menu to choose from
  • Unique barn setting
  • Multiple event spaces

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional

“The Carriage House by Walters Wedding Estates was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was kind, efficient, and incredibly attentive. Marissa and Hunter went above and beyond to make sure our day was smooth and stress-free, and their attention to detail truly made the space feel elegant and gorgeous. The staff was so incredible - they made the whole day a breeze, which was such a relief as the bride. We are so grateful to the Carriage House team for helping make our wedding day truly special.”

Before the Four Pines Ranch was a wedding venue, it was our family’s working cattle and horse ranch. Set on 54 private acres just outside Houston, our all-inclusive weddings bring the big pieces together with one experienced team, from coordination and catering to bar service, DJ, photography, décor, bussers, setup, and cleanup. “I immediately knew I wanted The Springs in Wallisville, TX as my wedding venue from the moment that I saw it. Aesthetically it was the perfect venue for me, but before booking the venue, I needed to make sure the staff would meet my expectations. They not only met my expectations, they exceeded them. For over a year, they responded quickly and professionally to all my text messages and emails, and accommodated last minute requests to stop by the venue. It was a requirement to use Corn & Rye as the bartending service and to use The Springs catering. I was VERY nervous about this as I have had bad experiences with required vendors in the past. My worries were unfounded as both the bar and catering services were excellent. The drinks and food were both delicious, on time and served by friendly staff. I used their photobooth offered through The Springs DJ. The attendant was friendly, funny and able to get the guest to let loose for some of the best photos of the evening. I also booked my photographer through The Springs. The only complaint that I have is in relation to the photographer. When booking with the photographer, you do not know who your day of photographers will be until the day of. I did my engagement shoot with one lady - who I absolutely loved. For the wedding day we had two different photographers and I didn't feel that we "clicked" with them as well as the one who did our engagement shoot. That said the pictures are absolutely amazing and I would 100% book them again.”

“I got married on March 14th at Graceland; we hosted about 100 person wedding, both ceremony and reception were hosted on the property. If I could give Graceland Wedding and Event Center more than five stars, I absolutely would. From the moment we began planning until the final dance, every second was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. The owner, Bear, and the coordinator, Paola, are truly in a league of their own. They bring a wealth of knowledge and years of experience to the table, which was evident in every planning session. They didn’t just work with us; they worked with our entire family to ensure every logistical hurdle was cleared long before the big day. Their communication is flawless—whether we had questions about outside vendors, day-of timelines, or the tiny details that make a wedding feel complete, they were always available and incredibly flexible. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful, well-kept, and maintained the entire property was. The attention to detail is impressive; every restroom was spotless, and the grounds were picture-perfect. We also rented rooms for our family members, and the accommodations were exceptional. Honestly, they were nicer and more comfortable than any nearby hotel—it truly felt like a home away from home for our loved ones. A special shoutout must go to the wait staff, who were polite, patient, and displayed tremendous customer service skills. Additionally, the culinary experience was a highlight of the night. Working with their preferred chef and catering team was a breeze. The food was fresh, perfectly portioned, and of the highest quality. It’s rare to find wedding food that feels that intentional and delicious! The day of our wedding was, by far, the best day of my life, and I owe so much of that to Bear and Paola. They go above and beyond not just for the couple, but for the family and every single guest in attendance. No request was too small, and they were constantly accommodating to everyone’s needs with a smile. Graceland is a professional, family-oriented venue that offers a world of opportunity to make your dreams come true. Whether you are planning a wedding, a quinceañera, or any major milestone, I cannot recommend this team highly enough”

About wedding venues in Winnie, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?
