“My husband and I decided to have a very intimate wedding on Mackinac Island with just immediate family. We had about 6 weeks in total of planning and my ability to find a photographer on the island was not fruitful. I actually found Kristin on a Facebook page for elopements and emailed for time to call. We had a FaceTime call within a couple days and at that time I had 2 locations we were looking into. Kristin was very understanding given that a location had not fully been secured but once we decided on the day and place (Wings of Mackinac Butterfly House) she was able to help us bring our wedding day and photo ideas into life m. She took both digital and film photos that were stunning and were just the icing on the proverbial cake (we actually got ice cream cones as our wedding dessert)! It was easy to book, rent, and send them back. The one downside was that they changed what the collection looked like between when I booked the flowers and when I received them, and there was no option to go back to the original. They changed the bridesmaids’ flowers to be more floral, when I chose the Jane collection due to the greenery. As flowers weren’t specifically important to me, this wasn’t that big of a deal, but it didn’t feel great to not be able to get what we originally wanted and paid for. After reaching out to them about this issue, we did get a 50% discount on the bridesmaid flowers.”

“We had a tropical themed wedding and used Flower Moxie for tropical flowers and greenery: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arch flowers. I wish there were more tropical related videos on their DIY Academy, but I did love working with my assigned florist and the help desk was quick in their response. For those who are getting married at the same location that the flowers are being delivered (my parents' home), I wish we would have done all of the floral arrangements the day before instead of 2 days before. And our spray roses came a day later and were a little sad looking. But overall, we were very happy with the service and highly recommend to others!”

The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. “Alexis was absolutely amazing!! She was our hair and makeup artist for my wedding this Saturday and when I say she KILLED it!! Aside from her AMAZING hair and makeup skills… We had a few bumps in the road so my mom and I weren’t able to make it to the venue until after my scheduled time for both hair and makeup. As you can imagine, I was definitely panicking about our ceremony starting in less than two hours from the time of my arrival. When I finally made it, I felt SO much better as I realized that Alexis made sure that all of my bridesmaids were on track as far as hair and makeup while I was gone. She completed my hair and makeup beautifully with time to spare for my mom’s hair and makeup. She even managed to squeeze in another makeup service for one of my guests.
