The DuPage County Historical Museum is housed in what was formerly known as the Adams Memorial Library. The building was erected by John Quincy Adams (a distant relative of the Adams presidents) in 1891 to serve as a library and community center for Wheaton in memory of his late wife, Marilla Phipps Adams. In 1967, the building opened as the DuPage County Historical Museum under the operation of the County of DuPage and DuPage County Historical Society. Today, the Museum is operated as a facility of the Wheaton Park District and owned by the County of DuPage. It is the only institution dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation, and exhibition of materials which document the history of DuPage County.

The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Initially built in the 1900s as a double storefront, it transformed throughout the century into a department store, political office, coffee shop, and now an event space. 223 Main is owned and operated by a local Lemont couple, Hector and Lauren Tamayo. Hector grew up in Lemont and always loved the downtown area. At the beginning of 2020, the coffee shop leasing the space decided to close down. While brainstorming what the building could be next, the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. Lauren and Hector decided to cancel their destination wedding and remodel 223 Main. Avec West Loop's entire second floor is a dedicated private dining venue. This space draws from the warm, intimate design of avec’s main dining room with lots of wood, stoned wall paper and natural light. It’s the perfect location for a private, intimate gathering. Formerly a 1920’s speakeasy bar, The Skyline Club is a private rooftop venue at the historic Old Republic Building on Michigan Avenue. Originally, a pub in the Sussex region of southern England, the Skyline Club was dismantled, shipped to Chicago, and reassembled on what was then the Bell Building.
