“I cannot recommend Sophie enough for wedding make up. My wife and I used Sophie as our makeup artist for ourselves, our two moms, and my sister-in-law. Getting your make up done is an intimate process and sets the tone for the entire day and with Sophie there I felt beautiful and comfortable the whole time. We were not able to do a make up trial due to my schedule so she worked with me prior to my wedding day via zoom to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She sent me examples and helped me articulate my vision and even tried the looks on herself so that I could see them come to life. On the day of I felt so glam and powerful. My look lasted through performances and lots of dancing and my pictures from the end of the night are still STUNNING with no touch ups required (though she did provide us with the cutest touch up kits) My wife’s style and comfort with make up is much different than mine so she did a make up trial and Sophie helped her to find a look that was “wedding glam” but still felt authentic. Our looks were very different and incredibly “us” and showed off Sophie’s range and talent. Logistically, she is a complete professional with high end products that she organizes for ease of use and hygiene. Though my make up ran much longer than intended, she had anticipated that and so we still finished exactly on time. I never felt rushed or stressed - only like an absolute queen. It was the perfect way to start my wedding day and was worth every single penny.”

“Worked with Matt and the GBE team for my wedding in September. We worked closely with Matt (our dj/MC) since the first introductory call and he was so friendly and SO helpful throughout the whole wedding process. We loved that there was a questionnaire to fill out about any detail you can think about for the wedding (a lot of ones we didnt even think about until seeing it on the questionnaire!). After completion of that and about 1-2 months before the wedding we had another video call to review everything and Matt listened so well to our taste. He understood what songs we wanted to be played and what were absolute no's during the wedding. Whatever you wanted - he will listen! Now to the wedding day. We pretty much did not leave that dance floor, only to breath and get a drink here and there because you gotta rest. Voices were lost by the end of the night and that is the best sign there is to a great night. The music was amazing. Vibes were spectacular. Lighting was great. Such a great dance floor and music!!! He also had 2 other guys helping out and they were an incredible team! They bring the energy to the wedding and it was just absolutely amazing. We also did the Photo Booth through them and the quality of those pictures were amazing!!! Also the man running the Photo Booth - he was AMAZING. Sometimes you run out of poses when doing the Photo Booth but this man did not let that happen! He guided you on what pose to hit and it was so helpful. That could be looked at as a small little help but it's such a BIG help. The Photo Booth had a line all night long. We also did the late night snacks (Wendy's) and the guy who set up and manned it was so incredibly nice. He did a great job and kept whatever we wanted off to the side so he was sure we were able to get some ourselves and not miss. It was the perfect touch after hours of drinking to have that snack when leaving.”

“We had our New Year’s Eve wedding in the Liberty House ballroom, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From start to finish, the experience was great. Our event stylist, Sarah, was amazing and played such a huge role in bringing our vision to life. I had a lot of ideas (some a bit outside the box!), and Liberty House worked with us to thoughtfully incorporate them into our wedding and our budget, including espresso martini shots on the dance floor, which was such a fun and memorable moment for our guests. The food was outstanding, especially cocktail hour. Guests are still talking about it. The pasta station was a crowd favorite, and we added the sushi station, which was an absolute hit as well. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The views alone are unbeatable. We had the most stunning Manhattan skyline backdrop at a much better price than venues actually in Manhattan or nearby. Another huge plus was being able to decorate the ceiling of the ballroom, which completely elevated the space. We used Liberty House’s preferred florist, JR Floral Designs, and absolutely loved working with them. Communication throughout the planning process was great. One thing to note is that Liberty House is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so depending on when you email, there may be a short wait for a response but once they’re back, they are responsive and helpful. The week of the wedding, we were able to drop off all of our décor and personal details, which made the wedding day itself so smooth and stress-free. While there isn’t a traditional getting-ready suite, there is a small room to store belongings, enjoy a private cocktail hour, and a private restroom. I personally got ready at a suite at the Hyatt House and took an Uber over, which worked out perfectly. Overall, Liberty House exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the views, the food, the flexibility, and the incredible team, we couldn’t imagine a better place to have celebrated our wedding — especially on NYE. Highly recommend!”

“My husband and I got married at the CKE this October 2024. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to their entire team for all of their hard work to make our visions and dreams come to life. Each and every staff member was kind, and helpful. If you had a question you’d get a response promptly and always with a “let’s see what we can do attitude”. Katherine (the owner) made you feel a part of the CKE family and always was looking to make the planning process seamless and easy for us and our family. The CKE floral and design team made our big ideas all come to life- we had a visions of big branching centerpieces with florals tucked in, that Jess and her team absolutely delivered on. On top of that, we asked for an installation over our sweetheart table. Jess and her team have many suggestions and shared they visited Home Depot at least 3 times to see how it would hang, and the final installation beyond exceeded our expectations. The talent and grace their team exudes is what ever bride and groom look for in a team. The planning process was also so seamless due to their amazing coordinator team. We worked with Katrina, the kindest, most professional coordinator we have ever met. Katrina was available at every step of the planning process, providing thoughtful recommendations due to her very obvious experience. Katrina also was there for our wedding day of helping to manage the schedule, set up, constantly checking in, and making sure it all went according to plan (which it did). In addition during the reception Katrina was checking with us throughout the night to see if we wanted to pivot anything or if we needed anything. We are extremely grateful for her support! In addition, Kyle was our maitre d’ for the evening and he did an absolutely wonderful job. He made sure to check in with my husband and I as well as our immediate family members. He was so kind and professional! Lastly but very importantly- the food and drinks! Most of all of our guests shared that this was the best wedding food they have ever had. It is no small feat cooking for large groups and every aspect of the food from the cocktail hour to the dinner course was absolutely fantastic. These are a few quotes from guests: - “The food was gourmet.” - “This is the real deal.” - “The sushi… Oh, the sushi! So fresh!” In addition, the bartenders crushed it! Everyone was impressed by the quality of the drinks and we never had a line at the bar- they were fast and catered to our guests. I would highly recommend the CKE to future couples getting married. The aspect of the family business really shows and ensures you have a tailored experience for your wedding. The entire staff is kind and down to earth- always willing to help. We wish them nothing but the best for their future wedding seasons!”

Hudson House

“Our wedding on May 1, 2026 was truly the best day of our lives, and the entire Hudson House team exceeded every expectation we had. We had a bit of a rocky start during the initial booking process, but once Elena, the General Manager, stepped in and connected us with Gabriel, the Director, everything became seamless. From that point forward, we felt completely taken care of. The food tasting alone was an experience unlike anything we've ever seen. It was an incredible feast and gave us a firsthand look at how Hudson House executes events and the level of service they provide. The food was absolutely outstanding, and our guests are still talking about it weeks later. One of the things that made our wedding feel extra special was having the second-floor room available for cocktail hour instead of the overlook above the reception space. While both spaces are beautiful, having a completely separate floor created such an incredible guest experience. Many guests thought the cocktail hour space was the reception itself, only to be amazed when they discovered there was another floor for dinner and dancing, followed by the Stork Club for the after-party. Everyone loved the progression of the evening and how each part of the celebration had its own unique space. The cocktail hour was truly next level. We received countless compliments about the amount of food and the variety of stations. Guests repeatedly told us they had never seen so many options at a wedding. One detail that made a huge impact was having our signature his-and-hers drinks already waiting for guests as they entered cocktail hour. People loved being able to grab a drink immediately instead of standing in line at the bar, and it was one of the most complimented touches of the night. What impressed us most, though, was the service. Every single staff member was warm, friendly, attentive, and accommodating. If a guest needed something, it was handled immediately. The professionalism and hospitality were truly exceptional. A special thank you goes to Maya, my bridal attendant, who was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She was by my side all day, constantly making sure I had water, checking on me, helping me stay hydrated, and ensuring I had everything I needed. She even helped clean the dirt off the train of my dress after photos. Maya was calm, thoughtful, diligent, and genuinely cared about making my day perfect. Before we left, she made sure all of our belongings were packed and organized, and she carefully packed up the food and cake I requested to take home since I knew I probably wouldn't get a chance to eat much during the wedding. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy so many of the amazing dishes once we got back to our hotel. Gabriel was equally incredible throughout the night. Anytime I noticed something that needed attention, no matter how small, he addressed it immediately. Knowing he was there overseeing everything allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our wedding day. Hudson House delivered beyond our wildest dreams. The venue is stunning, the food is phenomenal, the service is unmatched, and the entire team genuinely cares about creating an unforgettable experience. Everything ran so smoothly that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. The only downside is that the day goes by way too fast. We honestly wish we could do it all over again. We cannot recommend Hudson House enough.”

“The Whistling Swan Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding weekend. From the moment we began communicating with the inn, we were impressed by their extremely thorough, timely, and attentive approach. This beautiful historic home became our home for the weekend, providing the perfect space for an intimate gathering of close family and friends for pre- and post-wedding activities. We reserved all ten rooms for our guests aged 1 through 85! The inn also recommended a superb catering service for our rehearsal dinner, and our guests enjoyed a delicious meal the evening before the main event. We felt as though we were hosting our guests in our very own home!”

“We booked LSC Events 9 months before our July wedding, and we’re so glad we did! My husband and I are pretty relaxed and initially didn’t think we needed much help, but we quickly realized there were so many little details we hadn’t thought of. Eli and Nadia were organized, kind, and so easy to work with. They kept us on track and always let us know what needed to be done next. We opted for the 6-weeks-out package, and having them there during that stressful final month was such a huge help. On our wedding day, we truly didn’t have to worry about a thing. “The venue itself is a hidden gem—not because it should stay a secret, but because more couples should know about it. The setting is breathtaking, with sweeping views of the reservoir, graceful weeping willows, and beautifully maintained grounds that make you feel like you’ve escaped the city, even though you’re only minutes from it. Inside, the industrial architecture is elegant, warm, and timeless. The space has so much character that we hardly needed additional décor because the venue itself is the décor. One of the biggest reasons we chose The View was its location. I wanted the beauty and tranquility of a park without sacrificing the energy and charm of an urban setting, and this venue delivered both perfectly. Our guests stayed in vibrant Downtown Jersey City, enjoyed everything the city has to offer, and took quick, inexpensive Ubers and Lyfts to the venue. It struck exactly the balance we were hoping for: a gorgeous natural setting with all the convenience of a city wedding. As a lifelong NYC girl, I also loved introducing our guests to Jersey City. They got to experience its beauty, character, and incredible food scene without ever needing to venture into Manhattan. Our guests loved moving between the indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the evening, and we received countless compliments on the venue. The food was phenomenal—beautifully presented, delicious, and genuinely some of the best wedding food many of our guests had ever had. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to consider adding one more day-of staff member during key moments. Ivy was clearly managing an incredible amount behind the scenes, and having another team member available during transitions would make an already outstanding experience even more seamless. This isn’t a reflection on Ivy—quite the opposite. She was extraordinary, and the number of responsibilities she handled so gracefully speaks to just how valuable she is. The entire team made us feel like our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail created a celebration that exceeded every expectation, and we are so grateful. If you’re considering The View at Lincoln Park, don’t hesitate. It is one of the most beautiful, professionally run, and genuinely special wedding venues in the region. We would choose it again in a heartbeat.”
