Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
Mae was an absolute pleasure to work with. I knew I liked her from the very first call. She was thorough and asked good questions to make sure she could capture what we wanted. I love the vintage-inspired look of the photos and video. She communicated when she said she would and I always received a quick response to any questions or messages I had. On the wedding day, I couldn’t imagine anyone who would make it as special as Mae did. She was more than a photographer- she helped me put on myself shoes, hyped up all the little details I stressed months over, and was just such a joy. I cannot recommend Mae enough. I loved all the photos and the video made me cry. Mae is the type of person you want to be friends with after everything is done. Trust me, book Mae!!

He was incredibly intentional and truly listened to the shots and edits we wanted, which made the final video feel so personal and meaningful. Especially since our wedding was at different locations in San Francisco, Presidio, and our local church, I loved how our package cohesively looked natural, fresh and beautiful. We were in awe by the timeless and beautiful photo gallery and videos we received that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. Capturing weddings as they unfold rather than directing how they should feel. My approach is quiet and observant — present enough to anticipate moments, but never interrupt them. The day moves naturally, and the images follow.

Awarded Best of Zola
After our first photographer fell through, we found Caz and luckily he happened to be available on our wedding date. From the very first contact, he was incredibly responsive (super important to us), friendly and professional. His work looked great so we were excited - then we found out he was featured in Vogue! We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. We got our pictures back today - and they’re so much better than we could have dreamed of. It’s no wonder he was featured in Vogue - his work is artistic, candid, and beautiful. Thank you Caz for giving us such beautiful memories so we can relive the best day of our lives.

Roman Photography
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Waterflow, NM

I spent 10 years as a photojournalist covering news, sports, and political campaigns, and for the past 25 years I’ve photographed weddings with the same calm, observant approach. That experience taught me how to anticipate moments, work quickly in changing light, and capture genuine emotion without getting in the way. I focus on the natural moments as they unfold, keep portraits relaxed with gentle direction, and make family photos organized and efficient so they do not take you away from your wedding for long.

Roman Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography needs. From our very first interaction, Roman's communication was comprehensive, timely and incredibly helpful as we planned the details of our small, backyard ceremony. We had never hired a photographer before, and he was very helpful in asking us questions and sharing information proactively. On the day of, Roman captured the event seamlessly - he knew exactly when to step back and let moments unfold naturally, and when to jump in to get the perfect shot. We're so grateful that he noticed us FaceTiming my grandmother so we have beautiful photos of her presence, even though she couldn't attend in person. The final photos are absolutely stunning, and the value for the quality of work was excellent. We couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Roman Photography and highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.

I have always loved the outdoors. You can find me hiking mountain passes, rock climbing, planning another trip to Mexico, nose buried in some travel guides, looking up cheap flights to Australia, or off on some crazy 3 week long road trip to the Canadian Rockies with my cousins. I will help guide you through the entire process of planning an amazing experience. You can trust me with your wedding day dreams & will give you my all in planning out every little detail for your elopement.

Malachi was phenomenal. Choosing him for our adventure elopement/micro wedding ended up being far more meaningful than simply hiring a photographer (though he’s an extraordinarily gifted one). At first, his photos drew us in (especially his breathtaking night sky star shots, one of his specialties). But what sealed the deal was his professionalism, warmth, kindness, and overall expertise. It was immediately clear that working with him would ensure the wedding experience we had always dreamed of. His photos are nothing short of spectacular. We honestly doubted ours could live up to the stunning examples he shared, yet somehow he managed to make ours even more incredible. From starry night portraits to vast landscapes, intimate candid moments, and detailed close-ups, he’s a true master of his art. In every environment he has a creative vision, and following it allows him to capture moments that feel both authentic and magical. And even in rugged locations, he ensures you feel safe. From our first Zoom chat to planning meetings and emails along the way, his communication was consistently clear, timely, and helpful. His website, client portal, and custom PDF guides are beautifully designed and immensely useful. Despite a packed travel calendar, he always made time for quick calls when we needed to go over plans or ask questions. He strikes the perfect balance, offering direction when you want it but also stepping back to let you take the lead when you prefer. A big part of what makes his process so seamless is how intentional it is. We filled out several fun and thoughtful questionnaires that helped all of us clarify the intended vision for our day. Afterward, he sent a personalized location list tailored to our preferences. From this, we selected the perfect ceremony spot and a few additional photo locations. One of Malachi’s greatest strengths is his deep familiarity with the outdoors and his ability to uncover incredible, lesser-known locations for ceremonies and portraits. He’s constantly exploring and expanding his list of amazing spots so that every couple can craft a day that’s uniquely theirs. In our case, we wanted to visit several different landscapes over multiple days, including places accessible for our grandparents while still feeling remote and private, and Malachi made it all happen seamlessly. Above all though, his most valuable quality is simply who he is. Malachi is kind, easygoing, thoughtful, and genuinely fun to spend time with. For an elopement or intimate gathering, that matters so much. From the moment we met up with him in Utah, it felt like a friend had joined us, not just someone we’d hired. Traveling between photo spots and having him at our family dinner felt natural and fun. By the end of the day, every family member had connected with him. He’s a rare and wonderful person. One especially moving example was that during a short break between our morning and afternoon activities, he managed to fully edit and create a stunning preview slideshow/album of our photos from that day, which he surprised us with during pre-dinner happy hour. It brought us to tears and was such a great way to start the evening. In short: we recommend Malachi wholeheartedly and without any reservations. Whether you’re planning an adventure elopement, a micro wedding, or something entirely unique, he’ll make it happen and will surpass your every expectation. Working with him was an absolute joy. He’s truly one of a kind.

Awarded Best of Zola
Matthew took our wedding photos back in February 2024 and we could not have asked for a better photographer. Before the wedding we had several calls and he made sure he knew how the day was going to run and what type of photos we wanted him to prioritize. We really wanted a lot of candid moments of us and our family and Matthew delivered! He captured some amazing and beautiful moments from our ceremony and many fun moments from our reception as well a little details that we did not have time to appreciate because we were so busy being the “bride and groom” in the moment! We are finally taking some time to print our photos and looking back through our gallery makes us feel like we are reliving our beautiful day over and over again. Thank you Matthew for capturing so many beautiful moments that we will look back on and cherish for the rest of our lives. Highly recommend working with him for photos that will make your heart smile.

I’m Kirstin! An emotionally driven, film-forward wedding photographer based in the desert Southwest. I work with wildly-in-love couples who want their wedding to feel like them: artful, offbeat, deeply intentional. I photograph elopements and micro-weddings with a storytelling lens- capturing not just how your day looked, but how it felt. My work blends digital + 35mm film to preserve the honest, unposed, heart-full moments in all their textured, tear-filled, windswept beauty. My couples tend to be nostalgic, a little nontraditional, and full of feeling. If that’s you- you’re in the right place.

We met Kristin at a June 2025 wedding where we provided the flowers, and we were blown away by her work. Her photos are stunning - full of emotion, joy, and all the little in-between moments that make a wedding day unforgettable. She has such a gift for capturing the real feel of the day. As someone who works with a lot of wedding vendors, I can honestly say Kristin is a true gem. If you want memories that feel timeless and beautiful, she’s the one. Wholeheartedly recommend - 10/10!

Nikki Welsh is a Florida-based traveling wedding photographer documenting love stories with an honest, nostalgic approach. Her style leans documentary and a little wild, capturing celebrations as they actually felt. Based in Florida and available for travel worldwide.

Nikki was my college senior picture photographer. I wanted to do 3 very different photo shoots, as well as incorporate my college friends and my dog. Nikki was able to execute my vision perfectly!!! She knew the perfect locations and captured the vibe I was going for in each session perfectly. I am very detailed oriented and she made sure to capture all the small personal details I wanted included as well. These are my favorite pictures I’ve ever had taken. These aren't just photos. These are stories. They're your story. My approach is natural. I don't force moments, but I do know when to help direct. I want you to feel comfortable enough to come as you are, and let me capture the true essence of "you", because that is what matters the most. I am a natural light wedding photographer, which means I use solely the natural light outside or inside a building. I know what types of light situations are best, and I know how to combat the ones that are out of our control. I think natural light brings out the creamy tones to skin, makes your eyes sparkle, and makes for an organic photo.

I'm a wedding and engagement photographer who has collaborated with couples from all over the world. I offer a relaxed and conversation-based style of wedding photography because I believe that the best images are the result of communication.

Awarded Best of Zola
I can't explain how happy we were with Lizzie... the photos she took were absolutely beautiful. I was really impressed that she listened to exactly what we wanted - we definitely didn't want these fake posed photos you often see from weddings and she was perfect at fulfilling that and producing the most natural collection of memories. She really hung back in the background so you never felt you have a camera in your face all day and yet the final results were breathtaking. I haven't had the time to print them yet but I can't wait to have a collage up in the house. We were super impressed by the speed of receiving them all after the day too - within 3-4 weeks max we had already gotten the collection and I must admit I cried when receiving them since they are so beautiful! Sometimes I have some memory issues due to my health and having our wedding day documented so thoroughly and beautifully I can look back anytime and be reminded of how perfect that day was so I am so grateful. Honestly I would recommend Lizzie to anyone. If you are already looking into her site and wondering out of all of the people out there, whether she would be the right photographer for you... just go for it and it will be the best decision you make, I assure you.

We hired VIDART for a gala fundraiser in Davenport and we were blown away by how emotional the photos felt. He got shots of guests crying during speeches and laughing during the silent auction (I didn’t even see him take those). My only complaint is I wish we booked more video coverage because the recap was so good. Would def hire again.

Your wedding is not a performance. It's the way you look at each other when no one's watching. Your hand finding theirs without thinking. My couples care more about what’s real than what looks good on a grid. They want gorgeous photos but also want them to mean something. The couples I work with have depth. Their stories have weight. They want someone behind the lens who sees them. Not just how they look, but who they are. Presence over performance. That's the closest I can get to naming it.
