“On The River Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From the moment we started planning, the staff was proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely kind. The process of booking and coordinating with them was so easy, and the venue itself was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. They hosted many of our out-of-town guests, and we heard nothing but rave reviews about their comfortable accommodations and hospitality. The highlight was our welcome party, where we were able to bring in our favorite food trucks and live music, with a bonfire and the soothing sound of the river below. It truly set the tone for an unforgettable weekend. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate our special day.”

“When I asked my photographer if there was anything I should know about working with Mountain Top Resort, she said, “Oh, you’ve struck gold with them.” At the time, I thought it was just vendors being kind to one another. Now, I know that we really did strike gold. From start to finish, Mountain Top Resort wanted to accommodate us. Before touring, I asked if their catering team would be open to an all-vegetarian wedding. They confirmed that it wouldn’t be a problem and even welcomed us to add additional meal options to their list so that we could incorporate our favorite meals into our day. The team was excited to take on a new task to help make the event feel like us. Leading up to the big day, email correspondence was quick and helpful. We asked a ton of questions, and we were never made to feel like a burden. In the 2 weeks leading up to our wedding, our coordinator Zoey let us know that our day-of coordinator would be Elizabeth. We were both a little nervous to switch from one coordinator to another, but it’s clear the team is just that: a team. Elizabeth picked up all the details and connected with us to make sure she had our vision clear in her mind. Right from the start of the ceremony rehearsal, it was clear she’d studied our choices! She cared about the details, and made sure our day was full of fun, joy, and support. When we forgot to bring our printed thank-you speech to reception, she said, “No problem, email it to me and I’ll print it right now.” When we weren’t able to finish our dinners, she packaged them up and sent them along to the house we were staying at. Elizabeth supported us without ever being overbearing. We both knew that the whole day was handled without us needing to worry about a thing, so we could focus on each other and our guests. We are so grateful we got to have you coordinate our wedding! Thank you, Elizabeth! Photo credits: Idena Beach (@idenabeachphotography) & Gabby Coughenour (@winding.roads.photography)”

“Sugarbush is a beautiful venue with mountain views and space to accommodate all your wedding events. We kicked off the weekend with a golf outing at Sugarbush Resort Golf Club followed by our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Castlerock Pub. Our ceremony was at the bottom of the mountain, but we were able to do our first look and couple photos at the top. Emma and the entire Sugarbush team was amazing! From the attention to detail our wedding coordinator helped with to the timeline and overall service, we were extremely impressed with the weekend. It was so special having all our family and friends stay at Clay Brook Hotel, which made all the wedding events easy for guests to get to. The hotel was spacious and the staff was welcoming and accommodating to our guests needs. Our wedding weekend was better than we could have ever imagined!”

The first Common Man Restaurant opened in Ashland, NH in 1971. In the summer of ’72, we catered our first uncommon event. More than 50 years later, we offer 17 event venues in five locations across the state. We’ve catered to countless happy brides, local businesses, proud parents, raucous best men, bridesmaids, and delighted friends. We’ve planned perfect roasts, showers, BBQs, fundraisers, anniversaries, parties, dinners, and weddings. Our success is built on recognizing that your special event is just that, a special point in time. Our friendly, experienced catering team remains true to that understanding and is devoted to helping you realize exactly what you have in mind. We’ve renovated the event halls at The Common Man Inn & Spa in Plymouth and opened The Nest, a cozy event space at Common Man Ashland. We’re excited to host events at The Barn on the Pemi, our rustic event barn located in Plymouth, accommodating up to 300 guests with views of the mountains and Pemi river.

“My husband and I got married at the Barn on the Pemi on 5/31/24, which works closely with the Common Man Inn & Spa. We had our room block, rehearsal dinner, and after party at the Inn, but I'm here to rave about our experience with the Spa! After booking our venue, I spoke to the Inn about any accommodations or recommendations they might have for somewhere for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. They actually have what they affectionately call the "Getting Ready Room," which can be reserved ahead of time. I saw some pictures, saw that the room had some nice natural light, floor to ceiling mirrors and salon chairs, so I figured it was our best bet. Come wedding week and I went down to the spa with my bridesmaid to see the room and the pictures definitely did not do it justice! The room is large with a sitting area with a couch, table and chairs in the middle and salon-style chairs and mirrors around the perimeter. Our hair and makeup stylists were THRILLED with the setup, since they are used to cramped, poorly-lit hotel rooms for wedding prep! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but want to add one more thing. The night before the wedding, one of my nails (done at a salon back home) broke and popped off - nightmare! I kept the broken piece and brought it to the Spa the morning of the wedding to see if they could help. The Spa staff went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked perfect. One of their nail techs sat in front of my while I was having my makeup done, glued the nail piece back on, and put a top layer of the. white french tip and clear coat shellac over all of my nails to make sure they all looked the same. I would highly recommend the Spa Getting Ready Room for the morning of your wedding - the space and the staff are fantastic!”

“Our experience with Owl’s Nest was absolutely incredible from start to finish! From the moment we toured the venue with Gail, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. She made the entire booking process so easy and helped us choose the perfect date. Owl’s Nest truly offers an all-in-one experience — the on-site lodging made it so convenient for our family and friends, and every space on the property is breathtaking. We hosted our wedding in The Lakehouse, which was stunning, and originally planned to have our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in The Vault. When our guest list grew, the team seamlessly moved our welcome party to The Sunset Pavilion, and it worked out perfectly! We even reserved the golf simulators at Slice, which added such a fun touch for our guests. A huge thank-you to Taylor, our event planner — she was absolutely amazing. She put so much thought and detail into everything and made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The night before and the day of the wedding, she and her team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. I was nervous about vendor coordination, and Taylor personally reached out to each one to confirm everything so I wouldn’t have to worry. On our wedding day, she was my cheerleader, problem-solver, and calm in the chaos. I know Owl’s Nest has several planners, but I truly feel so lucky to have had Taylor. She made our entire experience unforgettable, and we could not have asked for a better venue or team. I would recommend Owl’s Nest to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and joy-filled wedding experience!”

“Absolutely — here’s a polished version that still feels personal and heartfelt: We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Loon Mountain and the incredible team who made our wedding day absolutely magical! From management to the entire staff, everyone was fantastic to work with from start to finish. They were kind, accommodating, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we had hoped for. With rain on the radar, the team worked with us and moved things around to make sure we were still able to have our ceremony at the summit — something that meant so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for the effort they put into making it happen. And in the end, the overcast weather made the mountain even more beautiful. The views were breathtaking, and our photos came out looking absolutely majestic against the mountains and clouds. It honestly felt like something out of a dream. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and made for such a unique and unforgettable wedding experience. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful Loon was and how special it was to take the gondola up the mountain for our ceremony. The food was also fantastic! A huge kudos to the chef and culinary team — everything was delicious and beautifully done. Our wedding day was truly the most magical day, and Loon Mountain was such a huge part of making it that way. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to get married or a better team to have behind us. We will forever be grateful to everyone at Loon for giving us a day we will never forget. If you’re considering a mountain wedding, Loon is an incredibly special place.”
