My name is Mitchell Gaston, and I love telling stories. I began my filmmaking journey all the way back in middle school (which is further back than I care to admit), making silly videos with my friends. Somewhere along the line I got a chance to film a wedding, and I haven't looked back since. Meeting amazing couples and getting to tell their stories is, and continues to be, a dream come true.

"11:01" originated back in 1962 when my Grandfather, Nunu bought "The 11:01 Bar" in Reading, Ohio. His story, and my family’s tradition continues to live on through my business. Both of my grandparents have passed away, but I know they are with me every time I see 11:01. On November 1, 2018 (notice the date 11/01) my best friend Blake sat me down, and asked me two questions. "What are your dreams? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Blake helped me realize that I wanted to start taking filmmaking more seriously and work towards building my videography and photography business, centered around 3 Pillars.

I am an intimate wedding and elopement filmmaker and photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’m married to my life-long adventure partner, Josue (Sway for short), and we have a 2-year-old golden doodle, Murphy, who is our whole world. When I’m not creating art, I can be found tending to my enormous plant collection, catching up on the latest episode of This is Us, serving on my church worship team, or hanging at the dog park. i grew up in europe and from early on used my father's rolleiflex and super 8 cameras. to me, old photographs evoke a sense of nostalgia, which inspired me to tell stories a bit abstract and ephemeral like reveries. my films are more like vignettes, moments in time that provide a glimpse of what it felt like on your day. which i think helps convey an essence about who you are and what the experience was like.
