“Firstly, I have to commend Jaye, the contact person for the team at Ultimate Bridal Beauty. She was kind and instantly made me feel comfortable, which was much appreciated, especially considering I rarely wear makeup. My only specific requests for the makeup were to keep it light and natural and to use airbrush, and Jaye did exactly as asked.
Jaye was the only makeup artist I had a trial with, mainly because all the others I had initially considered either ghosted or forgot our appointments. Since I liked the way I looked after the trial with Jaye, I decided to go with her, thinking it was a sign of sorts.
For my hair, Jaye paired me with Ana. Ana is also quite nice and friendly. However, after my initial trial, my hair fell out on the car ride home, which was a bit concerning. Upon explaining this to Jaye, she was understanding and asked Ana to do another trial with a focus on making my hair tighter. While this may not be the norm for a trial, it provided reassurance that my hair would stay in place throughout the wedding day. Ana accommodated this request without any issues.
On the wedding day, Jaye brought a third team member to be a hair and makeup float for everyone else involved in the wedding. I appreciate that the team was laid back and relaxed, creating a nice environment in the room. They made sure to wait for me to return after photos, before the wedding began, so they could do touch ups; however, I was a little frustrated since I had been told beforehand someone would accompany me during photos, to save time and so I would not have to continue going back and forth to the team which definitely took up time.
In the end, everyone seemed happy with their wedding looks, and I have to admit, my makeup did stay put throughout the day and my hair did not fall out - though it was a general mess by the reception. This is to be expected of curls in the South Florida humidity in summer though and is absolutely no fault of Ana’s. The team's effort and willingness to address concerns make me comfortable recommending them, especially if you appreciate a more laid-back approach to beauty.”
