Brook grew up competing in gymnastics and track which lead to having her hair pulled up and back often. She began to braid her, and her teammates' hair and fell so in love with it that she even ended up doing some hair for others for homecoming and prom. When she realized college wasn't the path for her she decided to attend cosmetology school in 2015. Through her salon career thus far she has seen many sides of the industry and has always found herself the happiest when styling hair just like in her early days. “We flew in from Texas and did all of our consults via her website and instagram. She was wonderful. She came over at 5:15 a.m. because I wanted to do a sunrise ceremony, and let me tell you, she was so great. Not a complaint, super excited, and so professional. Since I wasn't able to do a trial, it was all morning of and it was so perfect. I wanted a messy but elegant style that would last all day with a couple of braids. It was BEYOND my wildest dreams. 100000/10 would book her for anything and everything.”

Jo-hanna, the owner of JoHenna Design and commonly known as Joey, is best known for her intricate henna designs, paintings, and drawings. She has lived in Indianapolis most of her life and is a self-taught artist. Joey enjoys creating complex designs in many different mediums including: henna art, pen and ink drawings, acrylic paintings, watercolor paintings as well as decorating pillows, mugs, bags, shoes, etc.
