“Working with Pleasant Pastures Weddings and Events was a truly magical experience. From the moment we first reached out, the team was compassionate, thoughtful, and incredibly professional in their communication. Mindi and the staff broke down the planning process into smaller, manageable steps using their convenient online portal, which included helpful tools like a venue layout program and examples of detailed day-of timelines. The entire weekend staff was also extremely attentive and detail-oriented, ensuring that our wedding day ran seamlessly - from managing the weather-sensitive tent setup to providing a stunning selection of decor that made cleanup a breeze. Most importantly, we never felt like just another couple on their weekend schedule. The Jennings family welcomed us into their home and made us feel like cherished members of their own family. Twenty-five years of inaction and neglect followed until 2014 when the National Park Service recognized the building’s historical significance and listed it on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2015 the theater was sold to Northeast-resident and entrepreneur Andrew Volna, who saved the building and restored its original Art Deco splendor. Today it is ready to host your event. Hollywood Theater can seat up to 250 guests, but can welcome 500-600 guests with a mix of seating and standing room. “Quincy Hall was an incredible venue for our wedding! We had around 200 guests for our September wedding and it felt simultaneously spacious and cozy. The QH team was very responsive and helped with planning every step of the way. They were also super accommodating and helped fine ways for us to meet out budget while still getting the experience we were looking for. The venue and surrounding area had a number of spots for stunning, industrial vibe photos and we couldn't be happier with the look and feel for our day. Our food was also outstanding. We knew the food at Crave would be delicious, but we received so many compliments from guests about their meals. “We had an unforgettable wedding at the University of Minnesota Campus Club in February. We had about 6 months to plan our wedding and working with the staff at the Campus Club made the planning process more fun than anything! They had great taste and suggestions for the wedding, responded quickly to questions, and were so kind. We were also allowed to have our dog at the ceremony! It made the planning process streamlined because we could have the ceremony, dinner, food, and the dance floor all in one place. The venue already had so much character that one doesn't need a lot of extra decorations (and extra work). The space is so large that it does not feel crowded to have the entire wedding at this location. What drew us to this location were the stunning views of Minneapolis, the incredible food options (the guests could not stop talking about the steak!), and the multiple options you had for room choices. We rented out the West Wing and the bar area, which proved to be a great option for guests to mingle after the ceremony and before dinner. With amazing views, delectable food, and a beautiful venue it made our wedding a perfect day!”

“We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Van Dusen Mansion, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for us. The mansion is absolutely stunning, and the team’s professionalism made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. After placing our deposit, we received a clear and detailed planning timeline, which the team stuck to from beginning to end. Monica, the venue director, was incredibly responsive and genuinely excited to work with us. We were planning a hybrid cultural wedding, which can sometimes be daunting for vendors, but Monica embraced it wholeheartedly and made us feel supported every step of the way. We also appreciated the flexibility of being able to tour the venue multiple times without any pushback. By the time our wedding day arrived, it truly felt like we were inviting guests into our own home. One thing to note: the venue requires that the get-ready rooms be cleaned out before the ceremony begins. This was a bit inconvenient as things got hectic, and we recommend couples assign someone specifically to manage that, as we did lose track of a few personal items after the event. The only other downside is that you're required to use their exclusive catering partner, Mintahoe (we've left a separate review for them). Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The Van Dusen Mansion is a stunning venue with a fantastic team, and we’re so grateful to have celebrated our special day there! Photo cred: @storytellercoweddings”

“Our wedding at Le Venerè was truly a dream come true. From the moment we first saw the venue, we knew it was something incredibly special, and it ended up being everything we could have hoped for and more. The space itself is absolutely STUNNING. The chandeliers, the architecture, the elegance of the entire venue — it created the most beautiful and romantic atmosphere for our wedding day. We wanted a venue that felt timeless, elegant, and magical, and Le Venerè was exactly that. Our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous it was! One of our favorite things about Le Venerè was how perfectly the space flowed throughout the entire day. We were able to have our ceremony there, transition seamlessly into cocktail hour, and then move into dinner and dancing without ever losing the magic of the space. Every part of the day felt distinct while still feeling cohesive, and we loved that our guests were able to experience everything the venue had to offer. Our ceremony was beautiful, cocktail hour felt so elegant, dinner was absolutely magical under the chandeliers, and then the space transformed into the perfect place to celebrate and dance the night away. It truly gave us everything we wanted for our wedding in one incredible location. Le Venerè will always hold such a special place in our hearts because it was the setting where we officially began our marriage and created some of our favorite memories together. When we look back at our wedding photos, we are still blown away by how beautiful everything was. If you're looking for a wedding venue that feels romantic, elegant, timeless, and completely unforgettable, we cannot recommend Le Venerè enough. It was our absolute dream venue, and we are so grateful that we got to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives there.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Union Depot for our wedding. The venue manager was clear, communicative, and flexible throughout the planning process. She helped us with deadlines, floor plan adjustments, parking validations, access to getting-ready spaces, and being on-site the day of to support with our wedding coordinator. We also appreciated how affordable the venue and getting ready spaces cost for our budget. The venue itself was beautiful, and it was a relief to do a final walkthrough and drop off decorations the day before the event. The Waiting Room setup with digital signage, pipe and drape made it easy for guests to know where to go, and Union Depot offered stunning indoor and outdoor photo options, which was especially important given the unpredictability of the weather conditions. We can’t wait to visit Union Depot in the future to hop on the train/bus and reminisce on our wedding day there.”

“The Mendakota Country Club is a beautiful venue and we had the vision for how beautiful the course would be in the early fall for our wedding when we toured in the dead of winter!! Our photos throughout the day in multiple locations throughout the venue are stunning with beautiful greenery and waterfronts. MCC checked every box for what we looked for in a venue, including (but not limited to): the opportunity for an outdoor ceremony and flexibility in having both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the event including cocktail hour, onsite getting ready spaces, onsite catering with a variety of dinner options and a cohesive, one-level space (helpful and easy for family members with physical mobility issues) Adena was very responsive and by the end of our year and a half engagement, had responded to 200 emails, discussing details and answering questions for our big day! Jessica and Adena in partnership with our Day of Coordinator were able to manage many moving pieces and make our big day come together beautifully, and the waitstaff and barstaff were wonderful to work with. While we had a good experience overall with MCC, there were two day-of notes that did detract from our Big Day: We were told that the staff will “stop golfers” from teeing off at certain holes during the ceremony, however we had numerous golfers walk right behind our officiant during the ceremony and even one golfer approximately 15 feet from us saying our vows yelling to someone in the parking lot. While we understand it is a country club/golf course first and foremost, MCC charges couples a 1,200 onsite ceremony fee that should come with the expectations of no members on the first few holes of the course during the ceremony. During the reception, the temperature was not well maintained and by the time the dance floor was fully opened, all guests were profusely sweating. While there were industrial fans to help keep the room cool, it was not as effective as we would have liked, especially during an unseasonably warm day in mid-September.”
