Wedding cakes can range from $3–$15 per serving . Tiered cakes are more expensive than sheet cake styled cakes.

How should we cut our wedding cake?

Traditionally, you’d do a ceremonial cutting first, often holding hands on the knife. The caterer then takes the cake away and cuts it into slices to distribute to guests. If you’re slicing it up yourselves, take apart the tiers and cut them into small rectangles. Remember to wrap and freeze the top layer for your anniversary!

How should we transport our wedding cake?

Very carefully! Ideally, your cake will be delivered by your bakery, which should have plenty of experience transporting cakes. You can also purchase special boxes made to protect the tiers.

When should we order our wedding cake?

Set up tastings (the fun part!) around 7 months out. Once you’ve decided, place your order.

Cheryl warned us about the impacts of using heavy dye to achieve a burgundy exterior (as we wanted to avoid fondant), and we should have listened! The exterior ended up with a bit of a chemical taste and stained everything it touched. Take our advice: Cheryl knows her stuff! If she makes a suggestion on color or texture, trust her expertise—you’ll be in great hands. Aside from our own misunderstanding, the service and cake quality were wonderful.”

We were in Nashville for the weekend for wedding planning, and Amy threw together a tasting box for us with barely any notice. Our planner (Jenn Davis Events) introduced us to Juries, and from the very beginning, she was a dream to work with. Very professional, responsive, ACCOMODATING and so intentional with every detail. I had a very specific vision: a tall, classy, elegant, and ARTISTIC cake that would tie in seamlessly with our wedding signage and day of paper goods and she delivered that and more. Our cake was a true statement piece. Five tiers of textured, draped fondant, delicate floral details, and a gold acrylic monogram (our logo) that perfectly matched our gold acrylic menu cards. It was not just a dessert; it was an art piece that reflected our entire wedding aesthetic. Flavor-wise, Juries worked with us to create a custom combo of chocolate cake with a caramel and hazelnut praline buttercream filling. It was rich, moist, perfectly balanced, not overly sweet and completely unforgettable (I am already thinking of hosting something so that i have a reason to order another cake from her with the same filling because it was that GOOD!). “Kaly is AMAZING! She created our dream wedding cake and delivered it to our venue with no issues. She was so efficient in the planning process and was able to incorporate a cake topper I had gotten. The flavor of our cake was lemon raspberry and it tasted amazing. Our cake was huge and was at our outdoor wedding on a hot day in June but had no issues with melting or tilting! Can’t reccomend her enough!!”

She is in constant communication with you, which I sincerely appreciated. I never had to worry about our cake making it to where it needed to be or looking perfect! She also made the most delicious cupcakes for the grooms cake and was very flexible on how we would have them displayed. She's the best!
