I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I'm also a musician and I help craft most of the music in the wedding films I create. I love working with couples that have unique personalities and styles. My work resonates the most with who it's made for, and I always keep that audience in mind.

Steve Berkenkemper is not simply a photographer/videographer; he is an artist. When you work with Birchfields you will receive an absolutely stunning, unique, bespoke result that is beyond what you imagined. Steve pours his soul into his work and the work speaks for itself. Each video even has original music! I have known Steve for many years, worked with him professionally, and have hired himself multiple times. Steve is a national leader in the industry, working internationally as well, yet he also dedicates himself to elevating the culture of his local community through his work with historical institutions, the city government, public schools, and helping with The Family Portrait Project. If you are looking for a photographer and/or videographer, stop. Book Birchfields while you can. His artful capturing of your wedding will be a family heirloom.

Katherine Frizzell Films

I create short films from your old home movies and favorite photographs. Process: First, we'll chat and you tell me everything you'd like to share about you or your loved ones featured in the footage. I'll walk you through selecting the photos/videos to best tell your story. You gather all the footage (feel free to outsource to family + friends!) and send to me. And that's it! I take it from there and get to work creating a short film that reflects you + your unique story.

I hired Katherine to make a short childhood-to-the-present video for my wife’s milestone birthday. Based on what I’ve seen of Katherine’s work, I knew it would be high quality and creative, but my expectations were slightly muted because what I gave her to work with was almost all old still photographs with very few videos. I was blown away by what Katherine created! When my wife watched the nine minute film (along with family and friends) she burst into tears of joy and surprise. She absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful tribute with real narrative and emotional power, skillfully enhanced with music. If you’re looking for the visual equivalent of a lounge pianist — a film loop to play in the background while people socialize — you’d be well served by a more generic slideshow. What Katherine made for us is a one of a kind treasure that generates memories, conversation and emotion. Needless to say, we’re delighted.
