I started when my son was geiting married and wanted me to officiate his wedding. This lit a fire in me, and I believe I have found my calling! Officiating and Planning weddings isn't just about the wedding itself—it's about helping couples express their love and commitment in a way that feels authentic to them. I work with all different types of couples and will help you design the perfect wedding for you.

Gina Hawthorne of Weddings by Gina Hawthorne was an amazing officiant for our wedding. She is an honest, great communicator, and very personable. Gina arrived early for our Sunday ceremony, which we really appreciated. She was professional throughout the entire process and made us feel comfortable. Gina's fee is very reasonable compared to other officiants, and we feel we got great value for the money. If you are looking for an officiant who will make your special day memorable, I highly recommend Gina Hawthorne. I will be sure to refer her to any of our friends or family who need someone to marry them.

Hi! I’m Brittany, an LGBTQ+ inclusive wedding officiant based in Youngstown, Ohio, creating prismatic ceremonies for couples of all backgrounds and identities in Northeast Ohio. Whether you’re planning a vibrant celebration, cozy elopement, or modern micro wedding, I bring heart, humor, and custom scripts to make your day unforgettable. Tim Greathouse, Ohio Wedding Officiant
Rating: 5.0 (61 reviews)
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $150
  • Serves Sebring, OH

What’s the right wedding ceremony for a religiously independent couple? A courthouse ceremony is cold, impersonal, and over in a flash. A church ceremony is usually just a long sermon to which your actual ceremony is a sideshow. Pick your poison - a quick, dry affair with no heart, or a long, tedious slog that flies in the face of your worldview. Or... chuck that poison and grab the champagne. I got you, boo! I perform deeply personal, customizable ceremonies for couples who care about the content of their ceremony and want the declaration of their love and commitment to be truly unforgettable. 800+ ceremonies, 500+ rehearsals, 17 years!

“How long have you known Tim?” Since we got married, this has quickly become one of the most common questions from friends and family. The honest answer is just under a year. In that time we had a couple of phone calls, a handful of texts and emails, and most importantly his questionnaire. And somehow, that was all Tim needed to write the perfect ceremony for us. Our ceremony was so personal and so perfectly "us" that we couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks afterward. If most of your experience with weddings has been religious weddings, it can be difficult to envision what a non-religious wedding ceremony can look like. Tim's process and questionnaire are structured so that you can take the time to think through and decide what you do and don't want for your ceremony. There's zero pressure to do things "because it's tradition", and he's conscientious to ask how you want to be introduced. We took our time filling out the questionnaire and researching readings, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of planning the wedding. Tim is LGBTQIA friendly, open to skipping any traditions you don’t want, and excited to help make something new and fresh if that’s your vision. He has such a warm, affable, calming presence on the day of the wedding that puts everyone at ease. We can’t recommend him enough, and we’ll keep telling anyone who asks: hire Tim as your officiant!

When we began planning our wedding, we thought it would be nearly impossible to create a ceremony that would make everyone happy. My husband and I come from very different religious backgrounds, and we truly had no idea where to start. Left to our own devices, we probably would have just gone to the courthouse, but we knew our families (especially mine) hoped for something much more traditional. I was so pleasantly surprised to find Your Wedding Officiant and learn that we could build a ceremony from scratch- one that honored tradition while still feeling true to us. We worked closely with Reverend Dennis, who guided us every step of the way. He was incredibly kind, communicative, flexible, and such a pleasure to work with. Thanks to him, we were able to create a beautiful ceremony that thoughtfully blended our families’ values with our own preferences. I can’t overstate how meaningful it was to have so much control and customization without sacrificing reverence or structure. I would recommend Your Wedding Officiant to absolutely anyone. We are so grateful to Reverend Dennis and the team for helping make our day unforgettable.

Hi, I’m Minister Sharnise Sears, a licensed wedding officiant and certified marriage educator who believes your ceremony should feel like *you*, not a script pulled off the internet. I work with thoughtful, intentional couples who want their wedding day to be beautiful, but their *marriage* to be even better. If you're careful about who you spend your money with (and rightfully so), you’ll find I bring heart, purpose, and just enough personality to make your ceremony unforgettable, in the best way. Let’s make your “I do” truly mean something.

As a wedding DJ, I work with a lot of different officiants and I can say that Minister Sharnise Sears is one of the best in the business! Sharnise is able to work with couples ahead of time to help them better prepare for such an important life step like marriage. She takes the time to really get to know her couples. Other wedding vendors, like me, love working with Sharnise too. Erie Wedding Officiants
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Sebring, OH

Erie Wedding Officiants, a local business in Erie, Pennsylvania, emerged in 2012 from the vision of its founder, Steve. Frustrated by impersonal ceremonies, Steve saw a need for personalized wedding experiences that truly reflected each couple's love story. The team has since expanded to include a diverse group of celebrants who share Steve's commitment. They now serve couples throughout the Erie area and surrounding regions like Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo. Offering everything from religious to nonreligious ceremonies, they work closely with each couple to create a unique and memorable wedding day.

Choosing the right person to officiate our wedding was one of the most important decisions we made, and we can't express how grateful we are to have found Steve from Erie Wedding Officiants. From our very first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. He listened to our story with genuine interest, asked thoughtful questions about our relationship, and immediately made us feel comfortable. The ceremony itself was nothing short of perfect. Steve created a script that was so personal and heartfelt. He seamlessly blended humor and sincerity, keeping our guests engaged and making everyone feel a part of the moment. We received so many compliments afterward about how unique and touching our ceremony was. Beyond the beautiful words, his professionalism was outstanding. He handled all of the legal paperwork with ease, arrived early to our rehearsal and the wedding day, and had a calm, reassuring presence that helped put our nerves at ease. We weren't just hiring someone to perform a service; we were collaborating with someone who cared about making our day special. We highly recommend Steve or any of the officiants from Erie Wedding Officiants to any couple looking for someone who will not only marry them but will also craft a meaningful, unforgettable ceremony that reflects who they are.

With This Ring Wedding Ceremonies
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Sebring, OH

Reverend Karen is more than just an officiant; she's your dedicated cheerleader in crafting a deeply meaningful and personalized wedding ceremony that celebrates your unique love story. With over 20 years of experience, now officiating full-time, Karen specializes in working with couples who desire a heartfelt ceremony outside of a traditional church setting.

From our first conversation with Karen at With This Ring Wedding Ceremonies, we knew we'd made the right choice. She sent us a questionnaire called "love story" and worked those personal details into our ceremony, which made the whole thing feel like it was written just for us. Karen also gave us samples of different vow styles and ring exchanges so we could build the perfect ceremony for us. On the day of our wedding, she had thought through every detail and our guests kept mentioning how special and personal the ceremony felt. Her communication was clear throughout the planning process, and she truly took the time to understand who we are as a couple. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant.
