Poppin' Peonies began to bud in 2020 & it has flourished in the last few years. I'm Bre, I am a solo-traveling florist and LOVE any adventure when it comes to a new area. Floral design began as a hobby and grew into a true passion. I love gardening and sourcing from local farms (in addition to my own garden!) as much as possible to give each client the best product possible. The concept of floral design as a living, restorative, art form gave her a deep respect for flowers and their unique personality. Their nature of fragility adds to their elusiveness, and gives her the opportunity to exhibit the never-to-be-replicated side of her personality every time she works with floral product.

Leta Verbena is a boutique floral studio based in Redondo Beach and is owned and managed by Emma L. Seitz. She started her wedding career as a wedding planner back in 2014, and her experiences gives her a different perspective for floral design, as she deeply understands the logistics, details and flow needed for a successful wedding day. Florals were added to the business in 2018, becoming the sole focus in 2020. Emma loves how florals have pushed her creativity to new limits, and enjoys how every wedding is a unique and exciting challenge.

I'm a proud first-gen., Latina & Dallas native who finds joy in every facet of flowers. Growing up, my dad filled my childhood with gardening & my love for flowers sprouted there. In high school, I enrolled in Skyline's High School's floral design program in which my classmates & I learned floral designs basics + the business side of the flower industry. There, I would frequently compete against other high schools & received my Level 1 & 2 certifications by the TSFA. I founded La Fuente de Flores in 2019 & have rebranded as Monarch & Marigold Studio. I'm also a hobby flower grower so quite literally, I'm always surrounded by flowers.

I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it. I fell in love almost immediately. I want to express my love & passion for these wood flowers & I want brides to fall in love the same way I did.

Weddings are my passion. I used to watch reruns after reruns of TLC’s A Wedding Story when I was young and even created little ceremonies and receptions I thought best fit the personalities of my younger siblings. I’ve always been passionate about gardening but didn’t really think of floristry until after I landed my first job in the wedding industry. I decided to go for it and pursued floral design school. I couldn’t be happier that I did! I get to start my day with some of the most gorgeous scents and scenery. I love what I do and I think you will, too!
