“Audey did a FANTASTIC job with both our engagement photos and our city hall wedding ceremony photos. When I got in contact with her, we chatted about any ideas I had in terms of locations and poses, but she was also incredibly helpful in prompting us to think about what we wanted out of our shoots. She's able to scout locations super quickly once at the destination and is a true pro at being able to get the shot. We took our engagement photos at Lands End and Golden Gate Park on an absolutely freezing day (another normal day in SF haha) and Audey helped us get through the shoot quickly and successfully! She directed us through all of the poses and made us feel super comfortable and relaxed with her. We were even able to squeeze in some last minute unplanned shots that actually turned out so beautiful. For SF city hall, she truly is a miracle worker because nobody had guessed that there were several other couples also milling around the rotunda based on the outstanding shots she was able to take. I had no idea it was her first time shooting SF city hall since she navigated it like a pro! “It was my lucky day the day I met the Animus Art team at a bridal expo and won their free engagement photo shoot. When my (now) husband and I met with them over coffee (the way to their hearts, I found later) to talk about the shoot, I hadn't intended on choosing our wedding photographer then. We ended up loving their work so much...but more importantly, we fell in love with them as people. They have such a passion for what they do and for the people they work with, and it shows through in every conversation, every laugh, and every photo. My husband and I stayed after they left to discuss it, and we decided that day to choose them. We had lofty goals for our engagement shoot. We wanted to do a Pixar-inspired theme. I can tell you how I started shooting photos since I was a young wee lad, but that's what everyone else says and also it's not true. I didn't even pick up a camera until I was in high school. I'm the type of person who ignores convention and does it differently, my own way. Seldom the "right" way, but always the "Wong" way. My passion for creativity and my adeptness of the tech and the technical is what allows me to weave my craft and to produce art for my couples.

“When my now husband and I were looking for a photographer, we made a tier list. After lots of weeding out of mediocre photographers, we narrowed our selections down to two. We resolved to contact the last two to see which one we wanted to go with. From the minute I first met Avery on zoom, I knew that I wanted to work with him. Not only are his photos phenomenal and extremely cinematic, they are somehow able to tell a story in the photo. I felt moved looking at some of his albums and I wondered how he was able to do that. When we actually got to working with him on our wedding day, I understood his process: He actually knows how to pose a model and gives clear instructions on where to put your hand, when to tilt head down, where to look, etc. This is what I was specifically looking for, as I've had some photographers who were just 'okay' that snapped away but gave no direction as to what to do. I think this is the mark of an excellent photographer and one who has clearly done many weddings. My butt looks great in all the photos. :) Also, I feel like I would qualify as a quirky bride, and he totally embraced that and took photos of my multiple plushies. That's a 100 in my book.”

An engagement session was included in our package, and that was so helpful to get to know her and feel more comfortable in front of the camera! For the wedding day, Sarahi showed up early and did a BEAUTIFUL job with the details photos. Those are some of my favorite photos from the whole day! “Grace was a pleasure to work with during the wedding planning process. She was timely in her responses and upfront with pricing. On the day of the wedding, it felt like we were herding cats, but she remained professional and efficient. Even though we were running behind schedule with getting dressed, she managed to squeeze in a few dress shots and some first look photos. Grace remained patient even as some of our friends and family showed up late for photos! As we moved between locations, she made sure I was holding my dress in a way so that I wouldn’t fall on my face. She also helped my MOH bustle my dress after the ceremony (again, so I wouldn’t fall on my face). Grace was always cognizant of the lighting on location, and how it would affect photos. “I cannot express how amazing Angela was. She has not only a super warm personality. But also an amazing work ethic. I got the package for two photographers and they were both phenomenal. While I was getting ready(we are running about 30 minutes late) she was out taking photos of the venue, the lay flat photos, and the other details pictures. She even held onto our rings for me because the bridal suite was a wreck and I didn’t wanna lose them. All in all my experience with her was a 12/10 experience.
