Bedrosian Photo
Rating: 5.0 (37 reviews)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

I’m Peter, the guy behind Bedrosian Photo. I photograph weddings, people, parties, emotion, chaos, and all the weird little moments in between. I care way more about honesty than perfection — the nervous energy before a ceremony, your drunk uncle on the dance floor, your grandma crying quietly in the corner, or the split-second look your partner gives you when they think nobody’s watching. Those moments matter more than anything staged ever could.

Awarded Best of Zola
Bedrosian Photo was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was fast, professional, and understanding as we coordinated all the details. Peter has an incredible artistic eye, capturing beautiful and creative photos that truly reflect the special moments of our day. Peter arrived early to scope out all possible pictures opportunities, stayed late to capture all special moments, and used multiple cameras to ensure they didn't miss a thing. Peter was amazing - he listened closely to my vision and made sure it came to life perfectly. I would recommend Bedrosian Photo to everyone, and will definitely be reaching out to them for all our future events. Thank you Peter for making our day special and capturing every moment. We are forever grateful for you!

From the first email to the final delivery of our wedding photos, everything was handled with so much care, professionalism, and heart. Connery has an incredible gift for turning real-life moments into cinematic memories. And let me just say, the editing was flawless. The tones, the lighting, the composition... every image looked like it belonged in a magazine. Beyond the artistry, Connery was just amazing to work with—friendly, responsive, and calm under pressure. He made us feel comfortable and at ease and somehow made the whole experience feel effortless. If you’re lucky enough to book him, do it. You’re not just hiring a photographer—you’re investing in memories that will bring tears to your eyes for years to come. ConneryFilm is truly one of a kind.

Indigo West
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,900
  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Awarded Best of Zola
We enjoyed the overall experience with Indigo West from the start. He understood our preference for mostly candid photography and he did mostly that, leaving us plenty of time to mingle with guests. The photos he did direct we also loved it was nice he kept that quick, which made it very easy for us! Very happy with this vendor!

Gabbie Burseth Photo
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
Santa Monica, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,200

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

Tache Weddings

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

I film weddings because I’m obsessed with memory. Not the posed stuff — the in-between moments. The way your partner looks at you when no one’s watching. Your grandma dancing. The second before you walk down the aisle. At Tache Weddings, we capture photo, video, and Super 8 with a documentary, fashion-forward style. I care more about how your day felt than how it looked on Pinterest. If you’re looking for someone who hypes you up, holds space, and gives you a film that feels like a love letter — I got you.

Tony is truly in a league of his own. From our first call, we knew he just got it. He brought this calm, creative energy that instantly made us feel safe — and then somehow turned our entire wedding day into the most beautiful, emotional film and photo gallery we’ve ever seen. He captured things we didn’t even notice happening — the way my dad teared up during dinner, how my partner squeezed my hand during the vows. And don’t even get us started on the video… we cried and laughed. It's us, but elevated. He was everywhere but never in the way. Professional but still out there dancing with us by the end of the night. Book him. Seriously. Just do it.

Betsy Newman Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Santa Monica, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $9,500

Betsy is a lifestyle, wedding, and music photographer based in Los Angeles. She discovered photography as a creative outlet while studying theater at USC. Shortly after graduation, Betsy was hired as the tour photographer for Maroon 5 and documented 34 concerts across the country. Since then, Betsy has been on the road with One Direction, One Republic, Charlie Puth, and most recently Trevor Noah. Betsy's eye for candid moments and storytelling has led to photographing weddings around the world. She lives for documenting life and love through the lens. Betsy looks forward to hearing from you and bringing your vision to life!

I am writing this review wayyyy too late (over 2 years after my engagement photos were taken) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Betsy all the love and praise she deserves. Betsy photographed our engagement photos and would have done our wedding as well if she wasn’t already booked. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Betsy previously and she was always so fun, easy to work with and matched my energy on every level! She gets so excited when she knows she is ‘getting the shot’ that you can’t help but get excited too. I had a very specific vision for our engagement photos and she was 100% on board to make it happen. I love the photos so much and will treasure them forever as they document a very exciting time in our lives. I absolutely love working with Betsy and will definitely be booking her again in the future!

Welcome. I love being a wedding photographer! I like to capture the true emotions and personality of my couples. Nothing can beat the magic of looking at the wedding photos 5, 10, 15+ years after your wedding day and still experience all the feelings. This is my goal with every wedding I photograph.

Izida was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction doing engagement photos to the wedding day, Izida's communication was clear, concise and friendly, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. On the day of our wedding, Izida and her team were incredibly organized and experienced, helping us work through a (very) large family to ensure we got all the shots we needed. The preview photos she provided just days after the wedding were absolutely stunning - Izida has a true talent for capturing beautiful, natural moments. We were blown away by the quality and value of Izida's work, and are so grateful to have such amazing photos to remember our special day. We highly recommend Izida Lukmanova Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photography experience.

Danielle Rouillard Photography
Santa Monica, CA
  • Starts at $4,000

The best way that I can describe myself is that I am a "dog person" when I'm out and a "cat person" behind the scenes. As a digital and film photographer, I'm very interested in unique and varied light scenarios that incorporate unique backdrops and angles. I have been working as a professional photographer for over 5 years and there is not a day where I don't find myself learning something new about it, and that to me is part of the joy. I strive for imagery that makes your eyes linger, incorporating equal parts creative beauty and technical skill. My images have been featured by GQ Magazine, David's Bridal, AirBNB, Chubbies, and more.

Randall de Leon Photography
Rating: 5.0 (51 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
We can’t say enough amazing things about Randall. Even though this review is long overdue, the experience he gave us has stayed with us every step of the way. We booked Randall over a year in advance, and from the very beginning, he made us feel confident and excited about our decision. Our engagement shoot was phenomenal he made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos came out better than we could have ever imagined. Leading up to our wedding in August 2025, Randall was professional, communicative, and incredibly detail-oriented. He made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free. On the day of the wedding, he and his team went above and beyond to capture every meaningful moment from the details in the bride/groom suits, the ceremony, to the energy and joy of the celebration. What truly stood out was his eye for detail and his ability to be present without ever feeling intrusive. He captured moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and now we get to relive them forever. Working with Randall was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you’re considering booking him , please do it!

Aladdin Films Studio - For more than 20 years, we've been changing the Wedding Video industry, making every viewer watch and listen to our couples' love story, with their heart and soul. Leave it to us and make the 2nd best decision of your life, after choosing to marry your loved one, of course :)

Awarded Best of Zola
We recently received our photos and video package from Aladdin Films and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their documentary film was extraordinary—it let us relive our wedding day in a way that felt genuine and special. The team responded quickly to all our questions and kept everything professional from start to finish, which made the planning process smooth. Towards the end of the night, we realized we never signed our marriage license. When I asked Ali if they could stay for a few extra minutes to capture those moments, they agreed without hesitation. All our photos and videos came back on time and are truly beautiful. One thing we wish is that they had been a bit more assertive when organizing our family photos as we didn't end up with every shot/ family groupings requested on our list. We do have a larger family which can also lead towards more chaos as you can imagine. Of course part of this was a timing issue as all photos with bride and groom together needed to be done within cocktail hour as we did not do a first look. Overall, Aladdin Films delivered exactly what we needed to remember our special day and we were absolutely thrilled with our choice to work with them. I would definitely recommend Ali and the team going forward.

Okay, so I've never done anything like this before. Never had a photo shoot or anything close to it. I was a little nervous and my fiancé was definitely not excited because he is not a picture/camera type of guy. First off, Tom made us feel so comfortable and made a funny little joke right from the gate. He didn't give us even a second to feel weird. He guided us to the right poses and then let us do what felt natural. AND OH MY GOSH!! The results were EPIC! It couldn't had been a more perfect session with such an amazing photographer!! We loved working with Murtaza and the MKEShoots team for our 6-event Indian wedding, plus engagement shoot. His passion for the art was so infectious, especially since it was our first time doing professional photos. It took us some time to warm up to the camera, but once we did, well, the pictures really speak for themselves. Murtaza especially has an incredible eye for creative photo ideas, and he and the team made it so much fun even though we were stressed out with all the wedding drama. They scoped out noteworthy outdoor locations that made amazing backdrops, helped corral family members together for group photos, and just generally went above & beyond to make sure we had coverage of all the important moments - all the big things and the small details too. Zara was not only a photographer, she was also asking if I needed any additional help. She was also keeping in touch up to the night before our special day to make sure everything was ready to go! Overall, I had an outstanding experience with her. Thank you so much for being part of our special day, Zara!
