Hey there! I'm Arianna. I started Rare Raven Studio (previously McCormick Design and Photography) back around 2013. I had grown up around cameras and always loved whatever I could get my hands on. Film, digital, video, you name it. It wasn't until I had my daughter that I really started taking anything seriously though. All of the sudden, I had a reason to stay consistent in my documentation. The rest is pretty much history. A few of my favorite things: Darth Vader, the Space Jam soundtrack, traveling, DC comics, Mac & Cheese, chicken marsala, more cheese, serial killer and mythology podcasts, and allll the doggos!

Photography started out as a fun hobby, but when I was 16 I decided to take a film class in high school and that’s when I realized “this is it”. My name is Helena, pronounced Ha-Leen-nuh (don't worry I get it all the time haha) I am a San Francisco native and ex-Silicon Valley techie who decided to take leap of faith (during the pandemic) to pursue my dreams of being a full-time Wedding Photographer. This journey has been SO wild, but I don't regret a minute of it. I love mexican food, cats (and dogs!), and iced coffee. Books are my best friends, and I also double as a yoga teacher when I'm not doing photography related things. I have a weird obsession with fuzzy socks and I prefer movies over TV shows. Now on to the typical things you want to know about my journey in photography...I got my first camera in 2009 and basically haven't put it down since! I studied photography at Savannah College of Art and Design and started my freelance photography career when I graduated in 2016!

We are Katie and Dejan (pronounced Dayin), we met each other in high school and we’ve been together ever since (time flies when you’re having fun!). Photography is something that we both have always had a passion for, and it wasn’t until we started to plan our own wedding that we realized we wanted to turn our passion into a career. Aside from photography, we love to spend time with our two dogs, Stella and Blaire. They are Australian Shepherds with HUGE personalities, and they are a big part of our lives.
