Big Bear Mountain Resort

“Our experience having our wedding at Big Bear Mountain Resort was absolutely amazing!! From the planning to the venue to the staff to the food, everything was fabulous. Here is the breakdown of our experience: Planning Process: Working with Elizabeth, the BBMR coordinator, made planning so much easier. She was super responsive - always quick to reply to emails or texts - and really helped me think of details and questions I might have forgotten on my own. She kept everything organized and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks, which made the day feel completely stress-free. The Venue: The locations we used were beautiful and worked really well for our wedding. Ceremony (Top of Chair 2): Taking the chairlift up to the ceremony was a fun experience that our guests really enjoyed. The ceremony site has a gorgeous view of Big Bear Lake and is surrounded by trees. The wooden arch they built was a nice touch. For ADA guests who couldn’t take the chairlift, BBMR can drive them up, which was great. Cocktail Hour (Hog on the Rocks): The cocktail hour deck had amazing views of the San Jacinto mountains - it felt like we were on top of the world. Even though it’s up on the mountain, we had an open bar and a tasty charcuterie board for everyone to enjoy (I’m pretty sure you could choose to do hors d’oeuvres up there too, but we didn’t personally choose that). Reception (The Meadows): The reception area at the base of the mountain was cozy and inviting, with string lights, fresh mountain air, and a roaring fire. It was a great space for everyone to relax and have fun. The Staff: The staff were fantastic. Guests commented multiple times on how friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful they were, and how they really helped make the day run smoothly. The Food: The food was really good - definitely better than what you might expect at a mountain venue. We went with the Timber Ridge menu (salad, tri-tip, garlic-roasted chicken, vegetables, and thyme-roasted potatoes), and it was all delicious. They were also flexible with dietary restrictions, which was helpful for some of our guests. The Price: After looking at a bunch of other venues, I felt like BBMR was the best value for the quality of the venue. Preferred Vendors: BBMR’s preferred vendors list made choosing vendors easier. We used the photographer and bakery from the list, and both were excellent. Lee Stockwell captured beautiful photos, and the strawberry champagne cake from Sister My Sister Bakery was both delicious and a hit with our guests. The Extra Touches: BBMR went above and beyond with adding little details that made the day feel complete—directional signs, lanterns on the tables, themed cake-cutting utensils, and even gold sparkles in the signature cocktails. Those small touches really added to the overall experience. So basically, I would 100% recommend BBMR for your wedding!”

“From the moment we toured the venue to the whole wedding process, Fallbrook Estate/Wedgewood Weddings nailed it. It was the second venue we toured and immediately my husband fell in love. The area is a golf course in the morning and at night, it becomes the wedding venue of your dreams. The fountain at the front was gorgeous, the ceremony area was dreamy and the lake area turned out to be a beautiful hang out spot for cocktail hour. The reception hall was very spacious and could fit a good number of guests. My description of the venue does not bring it justice; one should really see it for themselves! Their whole team was organized and incredible all around. We were greeted by their staff of the day -Katie- with warmth and smiles. Upon booking, we received access to their planning portal and even an actual binder with check lists to ensure we were on track with the timeline. Every time we had our in-person and phone meetings, everything was made clear and laid out for us. Expectations, decor, timeline, were straightforward; even the tasks they could and could not do, the items that were and were not included in the package. It really was a matter of my husband and I’s decisions and how our vision could come to life. Lauren and Sierra were great with ensuring we made informed decisions about how we wanted our day to be. They were patient and sat with us through the whole process. I truly appreciated the organization of the whole team with the planning process. We also met our day coordinator, Stephanie, during our last meeting, and she energetically led the rehearsal the day before the wedding. For the day of the wedding, it sure went by very fast and overall, everyone including us had a wonderful time. The communication between the staff and vendors really came through as they took care of the decor and timeline part of the wedding day. Stephanie was amazing all around! She ensured the decor was as how we discussed it, helped calm the nerves, checked in on the wedding party for the ceremony and prior to the grand entrance, handed us drinks and appetizers right after the ceremony so we did not miss the cocktail foods and drinks. I loved having Stephanie as our wedding day coordinator! She informed us when her shift ended and introduced us to our banquet captain Emily. Emily also checked in on us and helped me when we had a hiccup with the music and the photobooth. She also helped take down the decor and items when our wedding ended early. I’d also like to give my thanks to the kitchen staff, servers, headchef etc. for making such delicious food! We went around the table during the wedding and our guests raved about everything, from the appetizers to the salads and the actual dinner meals. Even a week after the wedding, we still talk about how delicious the food was. Lastly- I would like to mention that there are additional costs in addition to the package. There is an additional fee for administrative services, which is understandable given the communication their staff was able to provide via call, email, and text messages. Gratuities are also not included, so it is something for couples to keep in mind. However, everything was communicated ahead of it. Overall, my husband and I were happy with how the wedding turned out. Wedgewood at Fallbrook Estate made this planning seamless and made our wedding day memorable for us and our family and friends!”

“I first came across Fairview Green River on Zola and reached out for pricing. Based on the initial information, I assumed it would be outside of our budget. I even scheduled a tour but nearly canceled because I didn’t want to spend another Saturday touring a venue my fiancé and I felt we couldn’t afford. When I contacted them to cancel, they encouraged me to keep the appointment—and I’m so glad I did. At the time, we didn’t have a wedding date, and Fairview happened to be offering a discounted rate for a Saturday wedding along with several perks we couldn’t pass up. That completely changed our minds. We attended one of their fairs to try the food, and honestly, I had mixed feelings at first. By that point, we were already committed to the venue, so I was hoping for the best. I shared my concerns with Sandra, who was our main contact throughout the process. She walked me through other menu options and reassured me that we would love the food—and she was absolutely right. The vendors they work with were wonderful. Tasteful Cakes, Ivy & Co, and The Southern California Wedding Guys were all responsive, professional, and easy to work with. Pricing for add-ons was also very reasonable compared to vendors I had researched on my own. Day of the wedding: Our day-of coordinator, Darian, was amazing. She stayed calm, organized, and collected while making sure the entire wedding party had everything they needed. Sandra also checked in on me throughout the day, which I really appreciated. During cocktail hour, the Fairview team had drinks and snacks set aside for us so we could enjoy some time and take our sunset photos. When we returned for our grand entrance, our dinner and drinks were already waiting for us at our table—such a thoughtful touch. We truly had the best night ever surrounded by our favorite people. And the food? AMAZING. We chose the American package with prime rib and a carving station. They also offered Italian and Mexican options, but the carving station sealed the deal for us. The only downside was that we only had access to the venue two hours before the wedding. A third hour would have been ideal. While I could have paid for the extra hour, I do feel this should be included. For reference, we chose the all-inclusive Elite package. A few helpful notes for anyone considering it: Flowers are partially included: table centerpieces and the ceremony arch are covered, but bouquets and boutonnieres are not. We purchased those separately, and their pricing was very fair—much more affordable than other florists. The DJ package includes the DJ only. Lighting, fog, and sparklers are upgrades. We chose to upgrade and were very happy we did. There are no additional cake fees, and the cake options were great. Our friends and family are still raving about the food, cake, DJ, and overall experience. We are so happy we chose Fairview Green River and would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking to host an event.”

“I hosted my sisters 60th birthday and I cannot say enough about the OCGC. From the meetings with Rochelle and ease setting up the contract, to her prompt replies and answering every question, to making the night super special, to Derek the Catering Manager refusing to let me help set up my tablescapes because I had a Ortho boot on my foot :) so he brought in 2 wonderful helpers, to the delicious buffet prepared perfectly by the chef (honestly the ONLY complaint of the entire evening was why we couldn't take home a ton of buffet leftovers :) to the bartender going the extra mile with a smile and running back to the clubhouse for us when my sister changed her mind and did in fact want a glass of champagne served at our bar station (not her original request), to Sean at Lumi Events for the BEST DJ/Photo booth/lighting/video production (contracted and recommended by Rochelle thankfully), I WILL most definitely be using this venue and vendors again. Thank you all, we had a fabulous evening thanks to your wonderful crew and staff and the beautiful Atrium!”

“Just had our wedding here on 9/28/24 and wow where can I start??! From the beginning when we toured the venue, we had no idea what to expect considering this was one of the more relatively lower budget venues we were touring at. So imagine our surprise when we got there and saw this venue, which was even more gorgeous than the more expensive ones we looked at previously. Pictures don’t really do this place justice. The venue has a Spanish-colonial design which makes for a perfect backdrop for photos. The arches both outside and inside the building really makes it feel grand. The string lights in the courtyard are so pretty, both in the daylight and when they’re lit up at nighttime. The hills of rolling green grass in the background really give off that golf club aesthetic and all the palm trees around the venue really pop off and give California vibes. The view of the grassy lawn and palm trees I saw when I walked down the aisle was truly breathtaking and I’ll never forget this moment. But mostly, we were in such good hands with Michael as the director. He comes from tons of experience (over 2000 weddings) and really treats your special day with so much empathy and care. Him and Mayra helped us out in so many ways: -Set up our welcome table, seating chart display, and decorations with very little direction. I didn’t have time during rehearsal to let them know how and where to set it up, and when the wedding day came, everything was already set up so beautifully. -We didn’t know we had to ask for a mic from our DJ, so we didn’t have one, and Michael took care of that problem very quickly. -Michael walked me around the back entrance of the venue before I walked down the aisle, my pointy heels kept getting stuck in the ripped hole in my wedding dress and Michael helped me pull it out twice. -Mayra helped me change into my 2nd wedding dress when I wasn’t able to find my bridesmaids near me. -Michael swept up the fake money off the floor during reception, and also hand delivered us our signature drinks when we asked for them. -I requested a signature drink that they’ve never made before and Michael personally tried out a bunch of recipes and helped pick out the best one. Overall, Michael and Mayra put so much care and thought towards this special moment of our lives. With this venue, you get it all-the perfect coordinators and the most beautiful setting. Some other things to note-food was amazing, both cocktail hour and reception. The food was also plated and presented very well too. The only area of improvement would be that there is no bridal/groom suite. It wasn’t an issue for us since there is a fitting room on site. But in the future, it there is an opportunity, building a bridal/groom suite would improve the experience for others greatly.”

Codie & Morgan were my coordinators, and they helped me so much with the process of planning, choosing the details, timeline, and day of coordination. Codie was absolute perfection, she is so sweet and kind, she handled the day of coordination amazingly, she was there for me whenever I needed her, and she knew exactly what to do even when I had no idea! The reception hall was GORGEOUS, I loved how everything was set up, she did everything and more to help ease the stress of my wedding day! I couldn't have done this without her, Codie, I'll forever be grateful for all of your help and pure kindness. The food service was also great, we received many compliments on the cocktail hour foods and dinner service! All of the staff there were incredibly kind and nice, the bartenders, staff, chefs, bus boys, everyone was amazing. Our DJ Arnie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, he is recommended by Codie and works frequently with Shadowridge and I'm so thankful we booked him.
