BEST wedding venue on Long Island! The Swan Club offers everything you need and more. The people involved in your big day make a HUGE difference and we cannot say enough great things about our maitre’d PAT and our bridal attendant DIANA. Both of them were there for whatever we may have needed and Pat was the best leading up to the day with answering questions and going over what we envisioned to make it a reality. There was no need for an outside wedding planner because of them and these two alone are enough reason to book the swan club! The food was SO delicious - from the extravagant cocktail hour to the 7 options for dinner and the spread for dessert was like a dream - they had some treats not other venues offer and everything was sooooo good. & the grounds are amazing with so many features like ponds and gardens - our cocktail hour and photos had the most beautiful scenery! We are so happy we chose the Swan Club for our wedding day and can’t recommend them enough for your next event!

Leonard's Palazzo was the perfect venue for our special day. The communication with their team was perfect and thorough - they responded quickly to all our questions and made sure we had all the details ironed out ahead of time. The venue itself is big, spacious and simply beautiful. The staff was very attentive and patient throughout the entire event, making sure everything flowed smoothly. When I got a bit frustrated, they even held my hand to reassure me! Everyone we worked with was polite, nice and professional. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and all the staff were so attentive. Communication was always on point - they always called back within a reasonable timeframe and answered all our questions. From the moment we met Kathy and saw The Douglaston Manor, we knew it would be the place we get married. We absolutely loved the old charm and how spacious all the rooms were. NYIT de Severesky Mansion made our wedding a fairytale dream come true. Working with Dana, she made every step of the process easy…. She is an absolute superstar! We were originally supposed to get married in 2021 but chose to postpone (multiple times) because of the pandemic and they worked with my fiancé and I every step of the way…even when we had to move our date one more time because I, the bride, tested positive for COVID 48 hours before the wedding. The food is remarkable, the atmosphere is incomparable and they care about their clients as people working to make sure your day is perfect. Whenever I had a question, Dana would lead me to a vendor, offer her suggestions, and her support. I could not recommend them more.

When originally looking for a venue we scoped out around 10 to choose from. VIP was the first we visited and we knew immediately we did not need to visit the other 9. Everything from the value, service, and quality was met that day and moving forward. This venue is extremely worth what you pay for. The service, the amount of options, the quality of those options, and the flexibility are all top notch. WE could not be more grateful for how the day went and that's in no small part to VIP and their team. SMCC was the perfect venue for our wedding, suitable to comfortably accommodate our large families, yet provide an intimate feel, complemented by the classic early 1900s architecture of the venue. The cocktail and bar area, spaced perfectly from the main hall and dancing area made for a great layout. We were even provided a bridal suite and were able to take advantage of the beautiful summer night and enjoy the lawn for cocktail hour and afterparty with fire pits and a food truck provided by the venue! John and his team at SMCC made our dreams come true, down to every detail, going above and beyond. Everything was personalized to our preferences from the food and drinks, to the layout of the event. James even sewed my father-in-law's pants when they ripped during the reception!!! A true Jack of all trades, and right hand man to have with you on your big day. He always made sure I was taken care of and comfortable, checking in frequently throughout the night to ensure we were satisfied with the service. The team at the Garden City Hotel was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. The bridal attendant, Nang, was with me from the moment I put on my dress until the very end of the night, ensuring I had everything I needed and helping to make the day run smoothly. We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! We can’t speak highly enough about our special day here!

My only complaint is the room that i was to get dressed in needs to renovated asap but they were very accommodating and on top of everything! Chantal was so responsive, helpful, creative, patient, and overall just truly pleasant to work with. She listened to what we wanted and helped make our day feel so unique and special to us. The entire staff made our dream wedding day come true and I could not recommend the venue more. Sasha was our wedding attendant and so sweet and attentive and patient. She's been working at the venue for 19 years and her experience was so helpful to have! We moved cocktail hour out on the patio for an additional fee which was also greatly appreciated by our guests who got to take amazing photos and enjoy the gardens before our dinner - highly recommend considering if it's in your budget! We celebrated our wedding on June 29 with about 75 guests, and it was nothing short of magical. We exchanged our personal vows before the ceremony, which took place outside in front of a beatiful waterfall. My husband and I met in a wedding band so we have been to more than 400 weddings, almost all of which were extremely high end, so we knew exactly what we wanted and had very high expectations (on much less of a budget than the weddings we play)! We are so thrilled to have chosen this venue for our wedding because they knocked it out of the park! My family is not from the NY area and they were blown away by the building, the amount and quality of food, the service, etc. My husband’s family IS from the NY area so they expected great things, and the MOB delivered. Emily was so amazing through the entire process, answering my incessant emails and questions quickly and kindly. Mike we got into contact with the week of the wedding and everything ran smoothly. They were patient while we figured out how to make my husband’s vision of a large king’s table for us and our large bridal party happen, and facilitated all of the coordinating. I still had my own month of coordinator, but they take care of so much there, she was able to focus on more minute details because they had everything handled. We did not use any of their recommended vendors. We had a friday wedding to ensure we were the only ones getting married there that day. Bridal and groom’s suite were excellent. Timeline followed to a tee. Could not be happier! And a little hint to future couples: don’t listen to people who say Lessings is bad because they do so many weddings; they are so good at weddings because they do them all the time. Take it from someone who has seen it all, you DO NOT want to go to a place that doesn’t really do weddings. And lastly, so many of the most expensive places we have played are very similar to the mid-tier places we play. Don’t worry if your wedding isn’t at the Pierre, it is upsettingly similar to have it elsewhere.

We originally looked at more “industrial” venues because we wanted that intimate feel and didn’t love catering hall vibes. We found Renaissance as we live close by and loved it once we toured initially. They have the space of a catering hall but the experience of a single party venue. Food was great and we never felt like we were being uncharged/swindled. Even at one point we saw an error on the agreement and Lisa changed it no problem. She was a delight to work with and never made us feel like our ask was so unbelievable. Bridal suite was big enough for 10 people to get ready. Overall nothing but great things to say about Renaissance.

Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.

The space is stunning and unique and can accommodate the ceremony and reception with different configurations to accommodate small to medium weddings. We had 75 guests and it was ideal. It’s intimate, cozy and just so special. The neighborhood is fun and trendy and makes for amazing pictures. And I promise you will not get better food for the price anywhere else. It’s the best deal in NYC. There is no set menu to choose from - you tell the chef what you like and they come up with amazing, inventive dishes, personalized to you and the season. The food was incredible and impressive and bountiful. We even had a poutine course after dessert! All my guests said my wedding was the most fun, unique wedding they had been to and everyone raved about the food. It was pure magic and love from start to finish.
