The Hook Club

5.0

  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Port Clyde, ME for additional fees

Based in New York City, The Hook Club is one of the tri-state area's most exciting and unique wedding bands. Owned and operated by a tight-knit community of musicians, they are known for their attention to every musical detail and the professionalism they bring to every event. Their unconventional group has mastered the art of creating a great dance party that keeps guests on the dance floor all night and then humming the songs the next day!

Awarded Best of Zola
The Hook Club was by far the coolest musicians I was able to find in terms of having an NYC night out vibe, and not a typical "wedding" vibe. We had a bass and guitar duo for our cocktail hour. They were super nice and awesome musicians. It started raining an hour into our cocktails so we had to move inside, and the bassist switched to playing a piano so that we could continue the music inside. Everyone was so impressed by how multi-talented they were!! Loved them and wish we had them play music for more of our reception. Dan, the founder, as well as the rest of their staff were incredibly organized and attentive throughout the planning process. Highly recommend!!

Gage Horne Studios

5.0

  • Videographer
  • Cinematic style
  • Serves Port Clyde, ME for additional fees

My name is Gage Horne, the owner of Gage Horne Studios. I started my company in 2019 (officially) but have been doing video work starting at the age of 11. It started as gaming videos uploaded to YouTube, to shooting professional dance films in college, to starting my own Video Production Service. I found true passion in my work when I realized how important wedding videos are. I had already shot 100+ films before my wedding but realized as a consumer how valuable it is. I love what I do and finding intriguing/interesting ways to display those pieces is what keeps me creative and constantly making my films better.

Awarded Best of Zola
As another wedding vendor, it's great working with Gage at events. Gage is the consummate professional who has attention to detail. He will capture your day and create a cinematic-quality video that will be breathtaking to watch. This video will be a keepsake for you, your children, and your grandchildren that will give the born and the unborn in your family the ability to relive that special day for years to come.

Get Down Tonight Entertainment, Inc. was an excellent choice for our wedding DJ. From the first time we spoke with them, their communication was quick, respectful, and they demonstrated a deep knowledge of the industry. On the day of our wedding, DJ Chuck delivered an incredibly fun and enthusiastic performance that kept our guests dancing all night long. He perfectly captured the late 90s/early 2000s vibe we were going for, and his mic work was just right - energetic without being overbearing. Capturing genuine moments is her specialty. Aside from the obligatory family portraits, we didn’t give Emma any specific direction, yet she managed to capture every single special moment perfectly. To say that my husband, our friends, family, and I are amazed by the photos she has shared with us so far would be an understatement. “Superb, phenomenal, stunning, magazine-worthy” are just a few of the words our friends and family have used to describe our photos. Hey, I’m Savannah! I’ve been photographing weddings since 2016, and somewhere along the way, it became the love of my life (well, one of them). Finding the right videographer was incredibly important to us because we wanted more than just photos. We wanted to capture the voices, the laughter, the tears, the movement—every emotion that made our day unforgettable. At first, we struggled to find a connection with the work we saw, but after months of searching online, we came across Alex V Films, and his work left a lasting impression on us. It was exactly what we had been searching for. From the moment we met Alex, his warm personality and passion for his craft put us completely at ease. He took the time to understand our vision, showing incredible attention to detail and truly listening to what we wanted. His talent for capturing not only the big moments but also those small, candid interactions brought everything to life in a way we could only dream of. Alex was able to beautifully weave our vows into the movement and storytelling of our film, bringing each word to life. In my vows, I shared a memory about my papa. As he approached his final days, I asked him, “Papa, what can you tell me about love?” He gently touched his chest and said, “You feel it in your heart.” Alex captured this moment with such care; as I spoke the words, “my papa touched his chest,” the video transitioned to my wife, sliding her hand gently down my chest, mirroring my papa’s gesture. It was as if he had breathed life into our vows, capturing not just the words, but the emotion and legacy behind them. Alex made the experience of working with him enjoyable. Throughout the process, his communication was top-notch, and professionalism shone through every step of the way. He was attentive of our needs and made the process easy. Alex didn’t just record our day—he captured its essence. Every look, every laugh, every precious detail we wanted to hold onto is now a part of a beautiful memory we’ll cherish for a lifetime. These are moments that photos alone could never fully capture; they’re filled with emotions that will be felt and connected to for years to come. At the beginning of this process, Alex was a stranger. As we got to know him we felt as though he became a friend. We’re forever grateful to have found Alex, who created more than just a video—he created a keepsake of our love and joy that we will cherish for a lifetime.

And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can. Woman/LGBTQIA+ Owned

Hey there! Since you are trusting me to capture these special moments in your life, I figured you should probably know a bit about me, right? I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. I have always felt like an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body. I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than anything on the radio today.

  • Serves Port Clyde, ME for additional fees

Hi there! My name is Liv and I am a New England born event planner. Being the youngest of 12 cousins, I went to my fair share of weddings growing up. I naturally fell in love with seeing the first chapter of my friends and families life begin. I’ve worked with some of the best vendors in the Seacoast, learning and growing as much as possible. In October 2021, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business! I'll never take for granted being able to work with clients I love, doing what I love. Let’s make your dream wedding a reality!

Awarded Best of Zola
Liv was amazing and I cannot recommend her enough! She was so on top of things, and that's coming from my extreme type-A self. If you are looking for someone with a "don't worry, I got this" approach and who delivers, BOOK LIV! Even if you think you have everything accounted for, you don't, but Liv does! Liv truly stepped up for the ceremony to make sure all of our requests happened, even with changes happening the day before. The reception was perfect and Liv made sure our vision became a reality. I brought a lot of extra decor so I'm sure it was not easy to set everything up, but Liv made it happen! I was able to enjoy the day and not fret about details. From venue changes to outfit changes to specifically timed songs to props - everything was coordinated perfectly. We cannot thank Liv enough for our wedding weekend :)
