Our approach is cinematic, documentary-minded, and deeply personal. We care about beautiful images, but we care just as much about clear vows, real laughter, and the small in-between moments that make a wedding feel alive. We stay calm and present on the day, capturing it as it actually unfolds rather than staging it for the camera — and we cover your full day, as many hours as it takes, never billed by the hour.

Everything we make is horizontal, film-first, and built to last — designed to be watched on a real screen and returned to for years, not scrolled past once. For the pieces you'll want to share, we also craft vertical Moments, finished with the same care as the film itself.

    Professional, friendly, and flexible!

    Ryan listened well and helped us craft a vision for a simple wedding video that met everything we wanted to preserve our big day! We've seen the extent of his technical skills. This time, I got to see him make even simple look polished. Hed was friendly and discreet as he filmed. The experience was lovely from beginning to end!

    Top Notch Videographer!

    Ryan was the best! I had no idea how I’d feel with a videographer around but he was awesome! We never intended to get a videographer, but there were a few things that meant a lot to me that I wanted to see. Ryan made sure those were there and the highlight.     Don't skip on video!

    We weren't sure about investing in a video service and I'm so glad we did! While our photos are amazing, there is something extra special about seeing the day in all of its beautiful moments captured live. Ryan was easy to work with, kind, professional and did an amazing job with our video. Would highly recommend!

    Excellent Experience

    We hired Ryan for our August 2024 wedding and he was fantastic to work with. We really wanted our wedding film to represent us as a couple, and so the music was incredibly important to us. Ryan gave us access to a database of options and when we made our choice, he even helped us use the song's original sample, too! The result was unique and special and reflective of our style.     Hire Ryan as your Videographer!

    Ryan did a wonderful job capturing the most important parts of our wedding. He is so talented and you barely even know he’s there at the wedding. Which made me nervous because I was wondering where he was. In other words, he’s a master at his trade. The short film he created for us we will cherish for a life time!

Lighthouse Video Productions is fully insured for videography and photography with both professional and general liability insurance.
We can certainly add venues to our list of "additional insureds" on our policy or provide proof of insurance upon request. We collect details from you so that we can do this as soon as we have a signed contract. If you wish to see the proof of insurance yourself before you sign a contract with us, we can do that as well.
I assure you, we are a very real company and we take what we do very seriously. While we are happy to design videos to work well on social, we typically steer clear of getting too deep into social media use ourselves. This is more of a personal, ethical, and health choice. Outside of having a Facebook page so we can interact with other professionals on several Facebook-based networking groups, and a YouTube page if you count that as social media, we don't have any social media presence at all.
Ryan, the owner, edits all of our videos, and we have three day-of videographers including Ryan. Stylistically, we are able to get a very similar vibe from all three videographers, but having a team of three also ensures that we can fulfill our end of the contract we sign with you even when things like illness or other last minute things happen.
We are able to film outdoors in light rain by using an umbrella - though we are limited to stationary shots on a tripod when this is the case. We don't shoot outdoors when there is thunder or lightning for safety reasons.
We have access to multiple libraries containing tens of thousands of songs that are legal to use, and if you give us a genre or even a feeling to work off of, we can make sure to use that to find music you will love in your film. There is also a music licensing service called "Lick'd" (unfortunate name, I know) that you can look up on Google that has some top 40 songs available that could work in a wedding film. Send us a spotify playlist and we'll create a list of similar-genre royalty free songs, or you can browse the royalty free libraries yourself and pick specific songs for us to use - you can be as hands on or hands off as you want.
