Our cakes come tall and our specialty is buttercream; we do not use fondant. Delish Cakes started in 2010 out of Alicia's family home. It quickly outgrew the house and a storefront was born shortly after! Delish Cakes will be 11 years old in August of 2021. I am a self-taught home baker and proud mother of one. My journey began as a paralegal, but everything changed when I baked and decorated my first cake in 2014 for Ella's 4th birthday. I wanted to create a memorable experience for her party, and little did I know it would ignite a deep passion within me. Soon I found myself baking for friends & family. Before I knew it, I had developed a substantial customer base. Over the years, I have come to realize that baking is a pure and simple expression of love and joy for others. In January 2020, I made the bold decision to follow my passion and pursue my dreams in the world of baking.

I was born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and a recent grad of the University of Iowa. My love for all things food doesn’t have a starting point, it has always been part of my life. The Original Rainbow Cone has been a staple in Chicago for over 95 years! We serve our signature combination of Chocolate, Strawberry, Palmer House, Pistachio and Orange Sherbet sliced and stacked on a cone. We also offer other flavors upon request.
